I get that point for sure, it's hard for me because Rocchio and Arias are conceptiually better than Ahmed, but havent proven it yet at the MLB level, and obviously to me Giminez is an all star gold glove, 300 hitting with some power 2nd basemen, I dont see him switching back to his natural position anytime soon just like Jose got "stuck" at third for similar reasons, so i take Giminez out of the equation now.
I'm not taking him out of the equation until one of Arias or Rocchio claim the job. I think it's very possible that they think a Gimenez at SS and Freeman at 2B combo is the best option initially then go from there. We'll see how it plays out.

I just think Giminez is so good at 2B, its hard for him to move, but he has gold glove potential at SS too i am told, so Freeman at 2B would work too. One thing for sure, Giminez has locked up a middle infield spot, lol

Don't get me wrong, I think they would prefer that one of Arias or Rocchio run away with SS, but sometimes things don't work out the way they want. Yeah, Andres is going to be playing one of the MIF positions for sure. What a fantastic season he is having on both sides of the ball.

He is my favorite right now....Kwan is a close 2nd, and Oscar 3rd. I know Jose should be in there too, but i just love when the kids do well.

The question is, which of Freeman or Arias will win the spot if Rosario is moved? Freeman projects better at 2B while Arias projects at SS over 2B. So it really depends on who wins as well. Gimenez will likely split spring between the two positions...

I don't 100% see Rocchio in the mix to start the season if they have Arias and Freeman both on the roster to start 23...

I hate to pick just one. You can't overlook what OGon and Naylor have provided either. Amed while not outstanding has been solid as hell too. The pitching staff has sustained us. I'll be perfectly honest, I'm not expecting much success in the postseason for a few reasons, but damn if it won't be a great experience for this young ballclub and I doubt that it will be a one and done. I think we're looking at a perennial contender for the next several years.

Hard to even argue that when we don't know who will be on the roster to start the 23 season.

In a best of 3, Do you think anyone can throw a better one-two than Bieber and TMac?

I dont expect much success either, our starting pitching is dominate this year, but could be soon, atleat 1-3. Our hitting doesnt have the power needed in the post season either, but Jose is Jose, and Naylor, OGon, Giminez are getting more power, and we have a couple of young power bats coming up too I am told.

Just the experience will be fun, and if we fuck around and make the series, even better, lol

My point was, depending on who we have, could affect which position Gimenez ends up with... you don't 100% want to move GImenez from 2B, but at the same time if the winner is better at 2B, then Gimenez will end up moving...

Wholeheartedly agree which is why I mentioned they may prefer a Gimenez at SS/Freeman at 2B combo earlier. It has to play out.

Exactly!

DeGrom / Scherzer
Verlander / Valdez
Strider / Fried
Nola / Wheeler
Castillo / Kirby
Burns / Woodruff
McClanahan / Springs
Rodon / Webb or Cobb

I'd probably take all of these based off what they've done this year however Bieber / TMac if they continue what they've done recently can stack up well. 2 of them look like they won't even make the playoffs...

Seattle, Houston, Tampa, NY and Toronto all have as good or better 1-2 punches. Our advantage lies in the BP and our disadvantage lies in the lack of offensive power. Regardless, the games have to be played and the Guardians are clearly playing well.

Bieber and TMac have likely been the best duo at the end of the season...
