Now I know Redd and Miller trades are becoming less probable now after the big draft trades and signings but let me know if any of these players could be possible or even good ideas for trades or free agent signings. Biggest problems I see with this group is that we are looking for a better permiter defender and as far as I know none of these guys are outstanding defenders. All of them can shoot the the three very well though.

1) Kyle Korver
+ A fantastic outside shooter who plays with alot of heart and energy.
+Usually plays at the 3 but can be moved over to play a more pure SG.
- Could be a liability on defense in terms of speed.
- Has a 3 year i think around 4.5-5 million contract.

2) Morris Peterson
+Fantastic Outside shooter.
+Veteran.
-Big contract
-Getting old

3) Luther Head
+Young, with alot of upside
+Great 3pt shooter
-Not a very good defender
-Didn't get much playing time last year
-Did not perform well in the playoffs

4) J.R. Smith
+Good outside shooter
+Can get his own shots
-Has character problems
-Had knee surgery last year
-Had a dissapointing playoff showing

5) James Posey
+Big Man with a jumper
-Getting Old
-Nothing to write home about on defense

6) Mike James
+Nice 3pt shooter
+Fast
-Small
-Getting old

Tell me what you think. Whether we should pursue any of these options or not, just throwin out some names.

Is Mo Pete on the blocks? Is there a good trade we can get for him with av and maybe a 2nd round pick?

I dunno I'm at work right now. Once I get another break i'll look into it and get back at you. This was just a quick list of guys who I've been looking at for a while.

Mo Pete would be perfect, and the exact level I would expect to be able to bring in with av and filler. We are not going to get a star, but he would be a solid starter.

Well I really like JR Smith, he can create his own shot and catch fire, and can get to the basket with his quickness. If the Nuggets don't use his qualifying offer i could see us getting him and fitting in well with this team.

Mo Pete sucks. What does it tell you that the Hornets have Paul, Chandler, Peja, and West and they basically didn't make it because they got absolutely nothing from there SG spot.

MoPete ????

The player who after last night became a very possible option is Raymond Felton of the Bobcats. After they drafted Augustin and used a 2nd rounder on Weaver who can play some PG, it's obvious Felton is available.

Bobcats were the team who made the offer to Varejao. Cavs would have to wait a full year from the time of that offer to trade him there though.
Felton brings an upgrade at PG and more of a true point.

Even though he just got traded to Minnesota, I wouldn't rule out Mike Miller as an option. T-Wolves are still in a major rebuilding process and could look to dump more big salary.

For some reason I think Donyell Marshall when I think of Mo-Pete.

james posey's best part of his game is his defense

Honestly I'd rather find someone who cant shoot the damn 3 but can drive the lane, im tired of settling and camping out on the 3pt line

I still think that the Varejao move will end up being some sort of Varejao-Villanueva swap with the Bucks, things fit to well with Yi out of the picture.

Mason/ Villanueva/ Storey for Varejao, Jones or Pav

That's the trade I'm calling atm

Maybe i just overlooked Posey's defense since he was playing next to KG I've always seen him as soft but i could be wrong on that point. Too bad he wants to re-sign with the celts he would be a great pickup. I always liked his ability to keep his defender from playing loose on him thus spreading out the paint. Would have helped on the Boston series.

sorry about double post it keeps telling me i have an error in the upload and doesnt show that it was posted
