Possible Trade Prospects

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
As far as #2 options...

I think you can rule out any Eastern Conference team because I don't think any of them will want to help out LeBron and the Cavs... And you can rule out any team that is trying or will be under the cap in 2010, because they won't want to help persuade him to stay in Cleveland...

You also have to factor in a team that is rebuilding, not re-tooling... Because we have the assets for rebuilding...

With that factored in, here's the possible guys:

Mike Miller
Corey Maggette
Ron Artest

Then in the "maybe, not likely but not impossible" pile:

Baron Davis
Elton Brand
Allen Iverson
Lamar Odom

maybe I was just being overly negative but I never reallly thought the Cavs had a shot at Redd and after I thought about it for a while I didn't see how they could get Miller from Memphis(now that he is a T-Wolve who knows) but I always thought that Corey Maggette was an realistic option. I know there are questions about injuries with him but I would take him.

never really thought much about Odom but if the Lakers are able to land Artest maybe Odom would be a possibility?

someone that was mentioned in another thread that was available around draft time is Rashad McCants. I have my reservations with him but there are others on the board who think he is about to break out. seems after trading for Mike Miller plus having Foye and Brewer McCants could be had?

I love Maggette but I'm not sure how hes possible. He'll be 29 at the beginning of the season, same age as Redd, Not as good as Redd but hes better than Vince. I could see Maggette being the answer, but hes not much of a team player and I'm not sure he would like to take a back seat to LeBron. Corey Maggette will become Larry Hughes. It sucks we can't get a new coach because you look at these guys and because of our offense you worry they'll be come Larry. Mainly its LeBrons fault .. but I don't see him giving the ball to Maggette and saying here, go get some points like he would with Carter or Redd. LeBron has to have the ball in his hand which isn't a good thing.

That's what really worries me though... I don't care how productive you are, if you can't stay healthy you can't play and contribute.. I mean he's missed 19 games the past two years and those have been some of the healthier two years of his career... And for a guy who is so built, I have my concerns as to why he's getting injured... Not to mention he's not the best defender or shooter...

I think he can be had too... It's obvious the Clippers are going into re-building mode... They'll want to move Maggette so Al Thornton can play more and play more minutes at his more natural spot, the 3...

Plus he'll likely be gone next year as he's a FA anyway...

Well I thought of it based on a). the Lakers have been rumored to be moving Odom and, b). there was a rumor floating around of us acquiring Odom a few trade deadlines back... So I'm wondering if Ferry still has interest in him now...

He's not a #2 option though... I'd like him, don't get me wrong, but I want all our pieces available to get that #2 option we so desperately need...

are we talking better than with regards to their age? or to their talent? cause if it's the latter... i disagree

What about David Lee?

The knicks are looking to move him.

I think he'd be a tremendous asset rebounding the ball and providing low post scoring.

I say we do a sign and trade with the 76ers to get RFA Andre Iguodala. He could be Lebron's Pippen. 19+ppg with ground shaking crowd roaring dunks. Also very good defender with 2+steals

Who are you purposing that we give Philly for Iggy?

The future pick might be tempting but the probability of finding another AI2 on the board is rare. Not sure if Stefanski is that shallow. Now if Billy King is still their GM......

Age.. in 2 years Maggette would be more effective for us than Vince would.

And for those saying Wally and Andy for Iggy LMAO.. at least be realistic. This place is turning into Cavs.com with these unrealistic trades.
