You're spot on with the mash-up comparison. The meta is driven by what character's they buff/nerf. That's completely different than TF2 where the core gameplay is rarely touched, they just add on to it. I'm hoping that Blizzard doesn't go the full MOBA route where we're getting a new character every other month. I will quit if they do that. A few new heroes a year would be okay but one of the reason's I quit LOL was because they were getting to a point where we got a new hero released once a month and said hero would be extremely overpowered so that people would drop cash to buy it. After a month of people complaining they would nerf said hero, rinse and repeat with the next one.
I gained a reputation during CS when I played a ton and I would get reported for cheating 3-4 times a season. It was a competition between me and one of my good friends on my team who would get disputed that week. I'm shocked I never got banned because admins at the time had a ton of power and would ban just because they "saw something fishy" in a game. They would use wallhacks to watch disputed players and if it looked like someone was tracing through the wall(even if it was a complete coincidence) they would drop the ban hammer. I knew a few admins from going to LAN's so I'm sure that helped my case.
You should give Overwatch another shot though, Blizzard has done a good job in hero creation and so far the game is balanced fairly well. They've already have 3 major patches since release.
Haha there's nothing better than getting accused of hacking when you're not. I have that happen semi-regularly in TF2, often when I'm using the fucking bow and arrow. Nothing makes me happier than someone claiming I'm using aimbot with a bow and arrow, completely ignoring the fact that the killcam clearly shows I have over 35,000 kills with said bow. Who the fuck would hack their way to 35 thousand kills with a bow?
