Well, the fact that this is an Arizona beat writer is interesting, because McCarthy was being rumored to be Arizona's next head coach a week ago. From the sound of it, the Cardinals wanted him but he passed on the job, which may be because he has his sights set on Cleveland, or just because he didn't see it with Josh Rosen.

Guess it depends on if he's the guy he's been in Green Bay the past couple of years or if the years of bad drafting were the real issue there. If we hire him, I guess we'll find out.

It could close our window before it starts given the way the NFL is going with rookie salary heavy teams. The next 3-4 years are absolutely crucial, and after that we may need to start giving away some of our core guys.

I mean, at this point I'm willing to give this front office the benefit of the doubt until they prove they no longer deserve it. Whether it's Dorsey or DePodesta who is ultimately making the decisions here, they did a good fucking job this year.
