Precious Achiuwa is one of my favorite prospects in this draft. His measurables are absolutely insane. He's 6'9" with a 7'2.5" wingspan & a 9'0" standing reach. He has the length to play center full time.

His versatility on both ends is really intriguing. Defensively, he could guard every position thanks to his length & quickness for a guy his size. His measurables remind me of Luol Deng. Offensively, he shows flashes of floor spacing. His shooting mechanics are solid.

If this team is serious about improving on the defensive end, why not consider this guy? He's slated to go 12th in the nbadraft.net mock draft. What if he slips in the draft? I hope the Cavs trade back into the first round & get him.

Guys that he compares to: Al Farouq-Aminu, Moe Harkless are two guys that come to mind. Gerald Wallace is another.

My ideal draft would be Wiseman @ #5, then trade back into the first round for this guy.

This mock has Achiuwa falling to the second round: https://www.atthehive.com/2020/8/27...020-nba-mock-draft-volume-4-charlotte-hornets

How does Achiuwa have the size to play center full time but Okungwu is an undersized center (in your words)?

Yeah, sometimes posters go head over heels for a prospect. I don't believe Achiuwa is worth all that, but he has some fun tools to develop if he slides into the second round and the Cavs buy a pick. He had the ball in his hands a lot when Wiseman left Memphis and the results weren't good. He was pretty below average across the board in all offensive categories. But, his defense is for real and you can't teach a player to have an ideal body type.

I don't know why I typed "full time". He can obviously play it in small ball lineups. He has ideal height & length to do so. Okongwu is more of a traditional big.

I think the fact that Wiseman was suspended was good for Achiuwa's development. He's doesn't project as a first option in the NBA but he has a good shooting stroke for a guy his size. All that time with the ball in his hands, being the first option against good opponents probably helped him develop his perimeter game. He'll be a solid 4th, 5th option. That's what you want out of a guy like him.
