Preseason game 2. Cavs vs. Philly

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Great scoring from McRae.

Not a great night for Felder, but he was very clutch down the stretch with the save that led to a McRae three and the game-winning assist.

He has excellent vision.

I couldn't watch this game but just checked out the box score and just from the quarter scores and box it looks like we barely beat the sixers and even the starters didn't open up a big lead...what am I missing?

The entire team got day drunk yesterday at the Indians game?

Plus, you know, it's preseason.

So, what's the depth chart projecting to look like?

Kyrie, Felder

JR, Shump, McRae[?]

LeBron, RJ/Dunleavy[?]

Love, Frye/RJ/Dunleavy[?]

TT, Birdman/Frye[?]

Is anyone going to say "I like the length that John Holmes brings to the team?"

I will say John Holmes seems to like to play both ways. Its almost like he plays for both teams out there.

Starters: Irving/Smith/James/Love/Thompson
2nd Team: Felder/Shumpert/Dunleavy/Jefferson/Frye
3rd Team: McRae/J.Jones/Andersen
Inactive: Liggins/whoever else (if they fill this spot)

I think they're going to be real light on guys - especially the Big 3, Dunleavy and Jefferson - in the regular season to save them up for the postseason, so McRae should still get a lot of run even though there doesn't appear to be a spot for him in the "regular" rotation.

Was a little too hyped to see Irving out there in a meaningless game but, hey, this cat is THAT good.

My biggest takeaway from the game was the game-winning pass by Felder to get the bucket. Unselfish play by the rookie and the correct one to make without forcing anything. Of course honorable mentions to Frye balling, McCrae doing his thing and the likes of Bird and TT with the entertainment before the tip and in the 3rd quarter.

FYI, for all those wondering, Bird isn't that socially awkward on camera. If you noticed with Allie he was straight and looking uncomfortable and rigid, that's his humor. I could tell by the look on her face she knew it was an act.

You have to think the cavs will keep Corey jefferson, we are paper thin up front and he is capable. He tries to rebound outside his area and he can offer some resistance at the rim. Not sure which of the wings they keep, probably brown or liggins due to their defensive ability. With McRae the orange mamba being basically the entire scrub unit offense, their lack of shooting is less important

Birdman looks good there. Thought he would be a corpse out there!

Thats a misconception many fall for due to him beeing 38
But due to early career injuries and a nearly 2 years suspension(drugs) at 38 he only has played 683 Games and 12159 Minutes. He is 38 but his mileage is extremly low for a guy his age.

I think he can give us very good 10-15 Minutes every night.

I don't really like this argument..

An 80 year old man whose never played the game doesn't have the legs of a rookie.

Just stretching it out to the absurd for illustrative purposes

Doesn't take away from his point. That same 80 year old guys knees would probably better off than other 80 year olds that did play basketball.

The amount of minutes people have played does matter as far as wear and tear on the body.

I was not implying that he is totally fresh and has the legs of a 20 something year old^^
just saying that he does NOT have the expected wear and tear on his body because of his low mileage.
38 is still 38.. but he propably has more left in the tank than the 38yo that played lets say double the minutes and 300 Games more he has.
