Preseason Game #3: St Louis Rams @ Cleveland Browns August 23, 2014 8PM

Did Fisher seriously just challenge that? What a dick.

As I said last week, guys: Whenever you find yourself infuriated by the Browns, just remember that you also support the Cavaliers and all your troubles will disappear in a flash!

Good news is the Bills seem as bad as us, so we might get #1 and #2 overall. Just don't take Steve Entman and Quentin Coryatt this time.

This could very well be the worst offense in the NFL. God damn is it hard to watch. Putting a bunch of replacement level receivers and Hoyer on the field is a recipe for disaster.

I was actually looking forward to watching the defense play, but yikes. They were pretty fucking terrible as well.

This team is destined to be picking top 5.

Kyle Shannahans offense is simply too complicated. 15-20 words to call a play is absurd. All that could easily be done in 5 words. It seems as though they are confused half the time. I can't understand why a new regime does this. Why can't the new coach learn the terminology of the offense they ran before, or make minor changes to it. That way the entire team does not have to learn it, only the Coordinator does.
Manziel has alot of god given talent, you can see that when he plays. Yes he needs to grow up and learn the NFL, but if/when he does, look out.
The Defense is going to get better. The main problem with them will be playing too many minutes. Our offense is going to kill our D. 3 & out, 3 & out...........Defense gets a minute break and then goes right back out on the field.
I hate to predict gloom and doom, but I see 3-13. And it could get worse if we get some major injuries in key positions.

Dude is certainly immature, but I believe that'll fix itself over time. Truthfully, I think having LeBron in town will help Manziel. He can be a great mentor for him.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Johnny. Not everyone can be as mature as RGIII, Luck, Wilson, Peyton, etc. when coming into the league. That's rare. Manziel's been under a massive spotlight ever since he put on the pads at A&M.

I just wish we had a different veteran QB on the roster that Manziel might actually respect and listen to. You think he really cares what sexy Rexy or Brian Hoyer has to say to him? Hell no. Can you blame him? Neither of those guys have had to deal with a fraction of the pressure that Manziel has on a daily basis. He's under a gigantic microscope, and everything he does (good or bad) is Sportscenter material. Hell, no one on the roster has any clue what that's like.

This is why I think LeBron needs to get in his ear. LeBron did some really dumb things early on (Hummer incident in HS, The Decision, Not 1, Not 2, Not 3) but he's really matured and learned from his mistakes.

You know this because you are on the sidelines with him, right?

What? This makes absolutely no sense. So you want the team to hire new coaches and pay them a bunch of money because the old ones sucked, but then you want the new coaches to use the terminology of the old coaches because the players are too stupid to learn the new language? I've never been one to insult someone's opinion, but that's completely ridiculous.

If our players are so dumb that they can't learn the new terminology, how would they be able to remember that the old terminology is being used for an entirely new playbook? You'd have half the dumb asses running the new plays while half of them would hear the old terminology and run plays from last years play book.

It amazes me that we pay these guys so much freaking money to workout and memorize a book with pictures in it, and when they are unable to do it, then it's the coaches fault.

I wonder how confused some of these guys must be when they go to McDonald's and they come to find out that the menu has been changed. Do they forget how to order a BigMac? Are they unable to decipher the total coverage of the new menu and can't pick out a McNugget from a McDouble?

Omg Bradford did tear his ACL last night. Wow.

Kyle Shanahans offense and its terminolgy has been adapted successfully by multiple rookies including quarterbacks for two different teams.

I relally dont mind the team struggling with this aspect of the systems in preseason. that is what preseason is for. to get these things ironed out and practiced.

Donte Whitner looks terrible, why did we sign him again?

I don't know if it was because Haden was out but Whitner just looked lost in coverage, always a step slow. As of right now he seems like your typical Browns free agent bust.

I'm not up on the current gay bashing terminology. What is the significance of "Nellie"? Is that a general slur, or specific to Sam?
It's just a general gay slur.
