So Pat Shurmur didn't watch the games he was coaching?

I never said that Barkley lacked vision, or had no vision, nor did @Jack Brickman. This was a comparison of Chubb and Barkley, and all that was said what that Chubb has better vision that Barkley. The place some folks see Barkley falling behind Chubb in terms of "vision" is when he tries to bounce too many players outside. But you don't see that happening, so....there's really nowhere else to go with this.
If you want to say Chubb has better vision than Barkley, I won't argue that point. I think Chubb's vision is right up there with the best in the game. Him, Zeke, Dalvin Cook, CMC, dare I even say Ekeler (even though I'm not a fan).

But, your comment wasn't a comparison between the two.

Whats his next deal looking like? Because I'd try to lock him up ASAP. The price is just going to keep going up.

I hate the idea of paying RB's that much money, but the guy is a certified beast. We'd be silly for letting him walk, right?

Yes. Our offense runs through him. A 3 or 4 year extension should be in the works now.

Chubb probably doesn’t even return his agent’s calls because he doesn’t like talking on the phone.

to save himself the embarrassment his agent will tell the media that “talks have stalled”

He is certainly worthy of being paid like a top 5 guy in the $12-15MM per year but due to the fact he's not a cowbell, could justify paying him a little less. I'd try to extend him before his rookie deal runs regardless. Perhaps a front-loaded contract to avoid issues with Mayfield and Ward's extension. I have no idea what the cap situation looks like over the next couple years.

Nah we should let him walk. RBs are worthless in this league. We can find any RB to easily replace him.

Based on recent running back extensions from Kamara, McCaffery, Henry and Cook, the Browns are looking at 4-5 years, 60-70M in total with 30-40M of that guaranteed.

True story.

I saw Nick Chubb in the Airport like the day after we drafted him and he was coming here. We were at the same baggage area waiting on our bags and I immediately recognized him and gave him a head nod and he nodded back. Then this guy rushed up behind my and was like "Dude is that Nick Chubb" And I was like yeah so the guy with this big ass smile on his face walks over like 15 feet with his hand our for a handshake the whole time which was a funny thing to see lololololol. It was like an Austin Powers scene how far away he was and he already had his hand extended lolololololol but anyway Chubb is just standing there with a backpack on and a bag in one hand and he's just staring directly at the guy who he sees enthusiastically coming towards him and the guy was like "Hey are you Nick Chubb" and I started smiling and laughing from a distance and Chubb being the laid back dude that he is barley moves a muscle and very softly says "Yes"

It was so funny because the guy was extremely excited and Chubb had this stock photo smile while barley moving and they took a picture. Immediately after that the dude walked away and told a couple other guys who Nick Chubb was and Chubb is just casually standing there like a statue waiting for his bags on the carousel.

I swear Chubb reminds me so much of Kawhi Leonard. A supreme talent who is straight up about his business and you know who he is but just super laid back and very measured.

The funniest thing about this is I remember posting about it when it first happened and didn't really think much of it then but after seeing how great of a player he is and also seeing how laid back he is it's so much funnier now lolololololololol

this sounds just like the scene off hard knocks except the guy had no idea who Chubb was and Chubb didn’t care that the fan didn’t know him

Yeah Derrick Henry’s deal sounds about right

Im in no rush to break up the best duo in the NFL.

I won't believe this until I hear he was whispering "running back breaks tackles" under his breath. Please confirm/deny.

Also, were you almost on hard knocks then?

I don't think I was. I remember watching that episode and remember that I was there when he was in the airport.
