The Chubb-Hub Yardage Delivery Service

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Nice breakdown. The way Chubb makes guys miss on interior runs is incredible. I liked the comparison of the jump cut to teleporting. No way Chubb should be able to make guys miss in such confined spaces...but he does.

So when do we start to panic? Or does Johnson's game mean we just moved on if it's bad?

We dont panic. We have the best backup in the league, Johnson looked good. The zone blocking scheme is designed to make patient runners look like probowlers. Chubb will eventually heal, next week, next month, next year, and when he does he will be RB1 again, till then its Hunt as RB1.

it would be nice to know if at least an x-ray came back negative. I know they’re still doing the MRI but no bone issues would at least be good news.

This would be the worry for me. He seemed to be in quite a bit of pain. Like way more than just an ankle sprain or something like that. Wouldn’t be surprised if he had a small fracture in his leg.

Likely an MCL sprain and possible high ankle sprain too. If memory serves, there should be somewhere between 2-5 weeks based on the history of these injuries.

4 games until the bye week. Now if he’s absolutely at 100% in 3 weeks for the Bengals game then play him.

But if it’s 50/50, then there is absolutely nothing wrong with being cautious and careful and not bringing him back until Nov. 15 against the Texans.

Obviously it is premature really have strong opinions on that, but the Bye week is there if we need it as a goal for his 100% healthy return.

Knowing Chubb though he’ll be starting against the Steelers in two weeks.

They should be very careful.

They have the luxury of a very capable RB2 so no need to rush.

What's the likely split between Hunt and Johnson w/ Chubb out? 2/3 : 1/3, more?

There are fantasy implications here.

Probably depends on how Hunt is feeling.

The yahoos at Yahoo are reporting he'll be out six weeks.

I think he'll definitely be back before that, but I guess we have no need to rush him back with our other RB's.

We really miss this guy. Hunt is fun, shifty, and it’s clear why he led the league in rushing at one point, but he doesn’t have Chubb’s vision. I also think he takes a bit longer to warm-up.
