The Chubb-Hub Yardage Delivery Service

I strongly disagree with that McCaffrey is the best running-back.

Scheming is fine, but it helps disguise the fact that he isn't a power runner. Chris isn't a great north-south runner. Chubb is far superior at banging through holes and shedding tacklers.

Chubb had only 58 fewer YAC than McCaffrey despite only starting in 11 games in 2018. Adjusted for a 16-game starting season, Chubb would have ranked only behind Barkley in YAC. McCaffrey also only ranked 11th in tackle-breaking.

If they switched teams, do you believe McCaffrey would be putting up Chubb's numbers?

I know for sure Chubb wouldn’t be putting up McCaffery numbers in Carolina.

McCaffery just has an extremely unique skill set that we’ve never seen in the NFL. One of the most elite pass catching backs ever and the NFL is trending that way anyways.

To be able to make those kinds of plays as an RB is mind blowing considering where he gets the ball is rarely that far down the field. He’s electric.

Also, of course Chubb is a better between the tackles old fashioned runner. Just in today’s NFL he’s not the best overall back.

Transitive game based on hypothetical production on another team is....not good reasoning.

No you don't. Nobody does, this is purely a subjective guess based on your own opinion and nothing else.

And with that game Chubb vaults into the lead in the AFC in rushing yards at 919 on the year

over 100 per game

also a fun note because CoUlD YoU ImAgInE If ThE BrOwNs ToOk BaRkLeY

Barkley had 1 rushing yard on 13 carries today and got banged up once again. Chubb>>>>

I think Barkley is more a David Johnson style back where you want to use him heavily in the passing game and get him the ball in space so you can utilize his elite athleticism, but he's subpar between the tackles.

Chubb is more of an old school grinder back, but he's got elite quickness and incredible vision in addition to his ability to shed contact and churn yards after it. He's also a decent pass catcher, although I don't think he's the route runner that guys like DJ, Barkley, and McCaffrey are, or at least we haven't really seen that from him.

If Chubb is able to add some good route running and if the team can retain Hunt, that could really create havoc for defenses and allow them to share the field even more.

Triplethreat, I'd trust AZ on this one. He's the expert when it comes to subjective guesses based on his own opinion and nothing else.

Chubb reminds me of Leroy Kelly, with a dash of punishing tacklers like Jim Brown. He’s the best back I’ve seen since those two.

Nice. Yes.

Did they address him grabbing at his thigh during post game interviews? Anything serious?

He’s at the point where he’s so good he can make a 168 total yard game quiet

up to 1,345 on the season on pace for 1,956 total yards

Man the Browns could’ve had Saquon!

Most of us didn't want a top 5 pick rb for obvious reasons, but I don't remember many on here hoping Chubb fell to the 2nd. I was actually a bigger fan of Michel, I was wrong, but just making a point that eventhough we ddint want Barkley doesn't mean we wanted Chubb.

I had Chubb higher than most, then moved him up to my #2 back in the draft after the combine. He answered any and all questions about his knee, and the Browns were lucky that other teams kept him lower than Michel and Penny. Dorsey obviously values yards after contact over other factors, because finding Hunt and then Chubb outside of the first round one year later was just a master's class in scouting running backs.

I’m not calling out people on the board, just making fun of analysts who even a few weeks ago mocked the Browns for passing on Barkley at 1

I get it, I was just commenting I didn't want Barkley, but I wasn't exactly team Chubb either. I liked the pick though, thought he was value for the early 2nd, but I really liked Michel and Penny
