Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Terrelle Pryor will undergo surgery Friday afternoon to stabilize a ligament in his right foot after suffering an injury at the end of Tuesday's Allstate Sugar Bowl win against Arkansas.

Pryor sustained the injury on a quarterback sneak late in the fourth quarter. He departed the field after one play and was limping badly after the game.

The junior won Sugar Bowl MVP honors after recording 221 pass yards and two touchdowns and 115 rush yards on 15 carries. He's suspended for the first five games of the 2011 season for selling memorabilia and receiving improper benefits.

Pryor said after the Sugar Bowl that he's not ready for the NFL draft and will honor his pledge to coach Jim Tressel to return for his senior season.

"I've got a lot of learning and better decision-making I have to make on and off the field," Pryor said. "Off the field, I need to grow up a little bit more, mature as well. I just have a lot of growing up to do."

Sounds like even more assurance that Pryor will be back. Also helps me cut Tressel a little slack that he didn't run a bootleg on the 3rd down before our punt was blocked. Despite his many faults, seems like a really tough kid who is very passionate about tOSU

All the media members who insinuated he was faking it after the game should be ashamed of themselves.

He was playing on it purely on adrenaline and when it wore off he started to feel it.
