The End of an Era: Case Keenum Traded to Buffalo

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Good night, sweet millionaire prince.

Any word on how much, we lose 7 mill getting rid of case, personally I thought Mullins was good enough of a backup. I get Watson will miss the first 6 games most likely, or that is what most expect, but not sure Brisset is enough of an upgrade unless he comes at 4 mill or so.

I'd have liked this guy more if he could have been good enough to get on the field when our starter was clearly impaired. After watching last season I'd say he was a waste of money.

Hey I mean, Case didn't choose to not play himself :chuckle:

Gotta remember at the time Keenum was signed, Baker was only in year 3 of his rookie deal, so he was only making like $8M. To add a $6M AAV backup QB was not a huge deal financially at that time.

The Browns really wanted someone in the QB room who had experience with Stefanski and were willing to overpay for it knowing the financial element wasn't going to be all that harmful given how much was invested into Mayfield at that time money wise (not much).

Whatever Kevin Stefanski did to call in favors this week is fine by me!

Merry Christmas, Case Keenum!
