Deshaun Watson: Third Highest Paid QB in the AFC North (OUT for 2023)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It was an awful 3 series but really the only bad thing Watson did was have a poor first throw. Between Schwartz and DPJ, the receiver play couldn’t have been much worse.

The second Schwartz drop should leave everyone very encouraged about Watson.

Immediate blind side pressure allowed by Wills and Watson not only felt it immediately, but he had the mobility to easily escape the pocket and he kept his eyes up the entire time to deliver a perfect strike 15 yards downfield.

If that had been Baker that's either A. a sack/throwaway or B. a scramble for a minimal gain because he didn't lift his eyes back up.

I think Watson is better than baker who isn’t, I just don’t think he’s good enough to win a super bowl.

Matt stafford just won a super bowl. Watson is on his level. As long as the team around him is good enough to compete he will be fine. My only concern is how he plays in the cold. He hasn’t really had to do that much. It’s a very small sample size.

Sounds like the same comment we made about Weeden and Manziel in their preseason debuts with us.

Just to clarify, the above sentence is tounge-in-cheek and not meant to be taken seriously. So no one get upset.
This but unironically (Hoyer and the D also looked awful that preseason, but "regressed" to at least competent during the season before injuries and locker room drama started piling up.)
