R.I.P Kobe Bryant

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Watching WNBA? The rest of NBA is still OK? Right?
They can do whatever else, so the memory stays strong, watching WNBA is something you don’t do when you loose someone- torture yourself.
Can guarantee you haven't watched any WNBA.

It's just basketball in the purest form. Shooting, passing, and defense. You understand you can like both right? That acting like the NBA is such a better product when it's something completely different and isn't even good by most people's standards. (Ratings, James Harden, egos, tanking, and no incentive to watch 82 games)

I wish Cleveland had a team, cheaper alternative than the trash playing in the Q or having to pay so much for the Indians. Lake Erie Monsters and a WNBA team would be fine substitutes for a night with friends/family

Euroleague, Spanish league, Adriatic league, Euro cup, NCAA, High school...
In pure form? Most of them are lacking basic form in WNBA.
I can enjoy- easily female volleyball, handball individual sports etc... Basketball and the standard physical ability demands for this sport (height/lenght, jumping ability, arm strength) just puts too much separation to be watchable. Boys stop playing like this by the age of 12.
I’m responding to this because Kobe was GOAT level in the NBA and the level of that is absolutely important in keeping in mind.

I agree WNBA is good basketball but we gotta dispel this myth that the Indians games are expensive to attend lol

There was nothing wrong with the helicopter itself.

The pilot definitely screwed up, though. She has a case there. But he’s also dead...

I told my wife two things:

1) The pilot's family, who is also grieving, now has to deal with this as well.

2) I can't prove this, but I have a gut feeling the pilot was pressured or felt pressured to go up despite the conditions.

yeah, you really gonna tell the Mamba something isn’t a good idea? Especially when riding in a copter was like riding in a car for us. Maybe not explicitly pressured, but he definitely didn’t want to let him down.

This has been speculated a lot, but we can't know because there was no black box, nor was one required for a small helicopter per FAA regulation.

A recent update: the pilot's relative appears to subscribe to the "can't say no to Kobe" theory:

Happy birthday big guy.

I wonder what he would think about how the world has changed the last 7 months!

Popped up in my timeliness and I remember watching Kimmel at the time. Loved Kobe's reaction to this. Lol

One of my favorite clips and reactions ever

Swaggy and Jordan Hill were bad enough, but the Boozer bomb took this over the top for idiocy. :chuckle:
