Thought "Midway" was really well done. I quite enjoyed it.
I'm glad to see you say so.
These war movies are usually just not good.

Frozen 2 was meh. Songs were forgettable, and plot was mediocre.
However, your young kids will like it.
Compare it to Pearl Harbor.
Never saw Pearl Harbor to be able ro compare it. The only movie that I have seen that focused on Pearl Harbor was "Tora!Tora!Tora! and that was quite some time ago. Saw it with a sailor that was at Pearl.Felt like our three year old lost interest about half way through, and I've seen Frozen about 50 times in the last 3 weeks.
Parasite was incredible. A pretty perfect film.
Agreed. Caught it at the Cedar Lee today and it was unlike anything I've seen this year. The satire and social commentary was sharp, performances were a mix between eccentric and subtle (like a great theater production), and it kept me glued to the screen the entire time.
As good as "The Irishman" was, it felt like 3.5 hours. This was probably the best flick I've caught all year and those two hours flew by. Just brilliant filmmaking better than any of the latest remakes or sequels.
I wouldn't watch a review or read anything about the movie until you see it. It's a movie that rewards going in blind and just letting it all unfold through the story.
