Do Not Sell My Personal Information
1917 is cool because it's all one shot (well it looks like it is, my critic friends said they spliced together a few). 7/10

Uncut Gems was awesome. Slides into my top 5 of '19 aka a list no one asked for. In random order:

Gems
Parasite
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
The Irishman
The Lighthouse

Honorable mentions:

Marriage Story
The Nightingale
Ford v Ferrari
Knives Out

I am looking forward to this. The Great War does not get enough love.

My Great-Grandpappy's company was annihilated in the Argonne Forest. Only 10 guys lived and he survived because he got shot the second he went over the top.

Always felt the Great War should have gotten the Killing Fields treatment- the shit those guys went through in that was with the trenches, mindless shelling, gas attacks and wanton death seems almost surreal.

Dan Carlin's Hardcore History podcast opened my eyes to how horrific it all really was. Definitely recommend to anyone with an even minimal interest in WW1.

How do you sit through a whole one...

Ha. I think they're fascinating. And I have a long drive to work, so good podcasts are a must and make the commutes fly by.

Uncut Gems was totally worthless. Giant waste of time.

Hard disagree. Really enjoyed it. Sandler plays a piece of shit and you’re not supposed to like him. Ending was solid too. Plus Julia Fox and that ass. If I can choose how I die, I want her to sit on my face and suffocate me with that ass.

I really like d uncut gems and I hate to be a baby but I didn't like the ending.

Someone can play a great character and it be a shit movie.

Sandler was great. The ending sucked. I felt very similar to how I felt after watching Arrival a few years back.

What was the fucking point? If this movie gets released early in the cycle, no one says shit about it. I, at no point despite the protagonist being a bad dude, felt bad for anyone around him or cared enough that his wins/losses mattered. The whole part with the Weeknd was terrible. Even the ending... finally gets the big win, and to be honest? I didn’t even care. The whole movie lead to one ha! Surprise! And it didn’t even remotely phase me as mattering.
