Saw Ghostbusters: Afterlife got it's official rating, PG-13.

If anyone doesn't know, this is Ghostbusters 3, direct sequel to 2 and skips that horrible one they did a few years ago. Directed by Ivan Reitman's son, Jason, with the original cast(yes, even Bill Murray).

Decided to give Shoot Em Up a rewatch tonight. I absolutely adore this movie. Clive Owen and Paul Giamatti chew scenery and clearly have the time of their lives. I'm not sure this movie works without them. They give it an absurd respectability.

If you haven't seen it, the trailer pretty much sums up the experience:

So just fired up this new Justice League on HBO Max. 4K, HDR(including Dolby Vision), Dolby Atmos? Check, check, check.

Fucking 4:3 ratio? WTF?

How does DC constantly fuck up?

It was filmed for IMAX, it's 4:3 ratio. They'd have to crop it to make it 16:9.

Has anyone seen it yet? Is it any good?

I've been skipping many (most?) of the DC movies lately based on the feedback.

It's better because the movie actually gives Flash, Steppenwolfe, Cyborg actual meat to their characters. They obviously do some backstory but also make them incredibly relevant to the scenes there in. Where as in the original they felt useless.

The whole movie felt more complete and the stories better told. Especially with Stephen wolf. I'm not a DC guy so just seeing him without a purpose before just felt flat.

Downside is some things are drawn out (slow motion and a handful of filler scenes). I think they probably could have gotten this to 3:15-3:30 and it would have left the same feelings and not lost any plot.

Honestly, this was well suited to a DC universe. They botched it. There's now a handful of Batmans, Jokers, successful movies...and almost none of them are connected.

Spoiler: the last 20 min + the footage after the film is incredible.
