We watched the Fablemans last night. Must watch movie. The movie a pretty accurate story of Steven Speilberg's childhood and his journey into becoming a movie director. I looked it up after watching it and almost everything in the plot actually happened.
I'll check it out!

I was total opposite. The only redeeming quality was The Rock. It's sad, but DC movies feel so mismanaged. Especially when compared to Marvel.

I'm glad they finally seem to have some unified leadership at the top of DC. Gunn is a great writer and solid director and he should give the DCU some much needed direction. Gunn has also made two of the very few good DC projects that have released in recent years. About the only other things they've done worth a damn are Harley Quinn and The Batman, and neither of those were set in the DCU.

I can't believe they are releasing The Flash with Ezra Miller in it.

Of all the people to be 'cancelled' in Hollywood since 2017, only maybe 2-3 people have Ezra Miller beat when it comes to sheer felonious behavior and horror.

People got canned for Tweets, but this guy kidnaps a kid, grooms underage girls, engages in possible statutory rape, strangles and beats women, commits theft, assaults other people, and he gets his film released and continues his place in the DCEU?

Not sure the film will make money despite the reviews. Many are going to boycott.

Yeah, it's baffling. The only explanation I can think of is that it cost so much to make that they don't want to write it off as a loss. Sort of the same way they're releasing three or four other movies that are about to be wiped out of continuity as the DCU is totally reset.

Although obviously those other films don't have Ezra Miller's stink on them. They were just unfortunate enough to be mostly finished by the time DC handed over their universe to Gunn.

Wasn't Batgirl basically done too? They pulled the plug on that

Banshees of inisherin. It was very good, but
its a particularly unsettling ending, for anyone thinking of watching.

The only criticism was
actually cutting off his fingers. I understand the artistic decision but practically, and when considering it in the context of the story without the subtext, its impossible to suspend disbelief and consider it realistic.

I watched Vengence last night on prime. It was an interesting movie with a nice blend of humor and mystery done intelligently. My wife's tastes in movies and mine don't overlap very often, but we both give this one a thumbs-up and a solid 8.
B.J. Novak created an interesting storyline and a nice take on the coastal/fly-over country clash.

Wait, what 2 or 3 are worse? Obviouly Cosby, but after that, but even Weinstein is worse than grooming kids and kid napping them. Silly debate I know, fuck all 3 of them, but outside of Cosby drugging and raping 100's of women, crimes against kids trumps crimes against adults in my book.

Long story short: He is accused of raping a then 14 year-old actor, Anthony Rapp, and sexually assaulting and/or raping 15 other people, including other minors.

He also hanged out with Epstein.

Yuck, just fucking yuck. Do you think he did it?

Given what we've learned about a lot of those dudes who hanged out in that clique with Bryan Singer, yes, I think some of it is bound to be true.

Stuff doesn't often go to trial due to lack of evidence, even civil ones, but there has been enough for trials to proceed in several cases.

I watched "The people you hate at weddings" on Amazon prime. I thought it was alright. They put together a good cast but I don't think they leaned hard enough into it being a comedy. The storylines seem to set up the scenes for real funny scenarios but it seems like someone fail to put it all together. Not sure if it was the writer or director who just didn't seem to hit the punchlines.
