I saw "Perks of Being a Wallflower" again.

One thing that never made sense to me is that Sam goes away to college and continues to be in a relationship with a now high school sophomore? Are we expected to believe that this continues? I mean it kinda has to or else the kid will off himself.

I think it's their bond of both being abused kids and getting each other that makes you believe they stay together.

I haven't watched it in a long time but a lot of stuff is unspoken, very subtle, or not said on camera. I think Sam decided to embrace her feeling for Charlie when they find out "he is just a screwed up as the rest of us". I think he tells her that he was abused by his aunt, just like she had told him, but we never see that part.

Edit: so I went and rewatched it. There is a lot of very subtle stuff in the movie that really doesn't come out from casual viewing. There are a lot of very subtle dialogue to tell you he was sexual abused as a child. Sam admits that she was too when they talk about her first kiss.

Even towards end the imagery suggest he is about to commit suicide but that is kind of ambiguous. His sister thinks he is but he doesn't have any cuts when he goes into the hospital, it's more all these memories are rushing back to him and he is having a mental breakdown. One thing I did notice that I had never noticed before is when he goes into the kitchen as a kid to comfort the aunt, she flips her wrist over and there is clearly a scare then it cuts to the knife and it then cuts to him in distress in present day and the door getting knocked down. I think this suggests that she didn't die in a car accident but it was intentional and it's questionable if it was a car crash at all. It could have been he finds her died but never told anyone then his parents find her in the morning and covers up that it was a car crash that killed her.

Mickey 17 was a lot of fun. Pretty funny and original concept from Bong Joon Ho, cashing in his bag from Parasite.

Ruffalo and Pattinson both give pretty good performances.

3.5/5 for me.

How far off base am I, without knowing anything except what I've seen in maybe 5 seconds of the trailer, that Robert Pattison is basically a Mr. Meeseeks from Ricky and Morty?

I’m thrilled.

A new movie with a unique concept? And it’s good?

I watched the electric state on Netflix. I think some of the hate that critics have given it is overblown. It wasn't a great movie but it's watchable. It being a 6 on IMDb is probably about right.

Critics kept stating how much they spent on it, like 320 million to make it. I thought oh that's a lot but whatever. Apparently it was the 13th most money that has ever been spent for a movie. I have said before I don't think Netflix should be in the business of trying to make blockbuster movies and if they spent this much, I don't think it a worthwhile invest for customers.

Truly I don't know where all that money went in this movie. Alot of CGI but it didn't seem like anything groundbreaking.

After watching nosferatu eggers is definitely overrated. Misses as much as he hits. All the praise I saw for this I knew it wasn’t going to match, so it was pretty average.

Was this story written by Drake? Or Steven Tyler?

Snow White 4/10

Was dragged to this for date night but she knew it was getting awful reviews. Snow White herself has a stellar voice. But I hated all of the songs that weren't originals. Main love interest dude had some really noticeable auto tune. I audibly cackled when I realized Gal Gadot was going to sing her own full on villain song. Woof this movie would have been technically better with a better actress here, but much less funny.

Also all the dwarves are CGI but they did cast a little person as a minor character, who gets his own woman at the end. Progress.

Anyways don't watch it.

To Live and Die in LA - 8.5/10
Uhh pretty fucking awesome

Trainspotting - 9/10

It's rare for entertainment to capture drug addiction this intimately. The cast was excellent. Ewan McGregor is the best.

The baby scene is going to stick with me for a while. That was horrific on so many levels.

Also rip Tommy.
