Rate the last movie you saw

I watch The Night Comes For Us annually.

The shadow strays has the same director. Personally I think it’s pretty bad but the action is fantastic. Ong Bak and The Protector/Tom Yoong Goong are must watches if you haven’t seen them.

I saw several of those Tony Jaa movies in the theater. They were a ton of fun.

Curious if anyone here is buying those 'collectible' plastic popcorn
buckets when attending a movie in person.

With the ticket price, it is now easy to drop a C-Note for a movie,
popcorn and drink.

I have definitely aged out of the target audience.
 
Took my son to see the new Minions movie. He asked if we could go home halfway through. Take that as you may.
 
Saw Odyssey at the local IMAX with the good sound system. 4 of 5 stars.

Hathaway, Damon, Morton, & Leguizamo were all excellent, especially Hathaway. Holland seemed out of place. Some faces just look positively 21st century. Bernthal was miscast or misdirected. The weakest part of the movie & I really like his work. Nobody else was in the movie long enough to have mattered much. The plot changes from the epic poem were interesting.
 
Backrooms - 7.5/10. That director kid has a future. A bit goofy in the second half but I liked it.

Finally got to see The Odyssey this weekend. I remembered some of the story from reading the epic/poem way back in middle school/high school, but not all of it.

I thought the movie was really good, though a bit long. I think it dragged a bit in the middle. I will rewatch it eventually, but not sure it's one that I will revisit more than once. Very similar to Oppenheimer in that sense. 8/10 for me.

And I mean I'm not even going to lie, Matchbox looks legitimately fun. If you're going to make a movie based around an IP with basically nothing going on for it, this is the way to do it. Make a fun action movie that has some actual practical effects and cast a guy like Cena who is charismatic enough to carry it while also being capable of poking fun at himself and the movie he's in.
