Ray Lewis will retire at the end of the 2012-2013 season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Again, that's REAL easy for you to claim when it's a hypothetical, and you're so dense that you're taking an analogy literally, so this convo is over.

It's also very easy for you to make an unsubstantiated claim in the form of a hypothetical, and get bent out of shape when someone calls you out.

I'll give you some credit though, the guy responding to you was being dense by even acknowledging your weak inconsequential argument. You show me the Cleveland sports figure who allegedly either got away with murder or covered it up, or something of equal magnitude this fan base has turned a blind eye on. Until you provide an example, you're just spouting inane shit and clogging up the message board.

You attack me and run away? No wonder you're defending Ray Ray!

No, no, allow me to clarify. If he played in Cleveland, this fan base would absolutely make that argument, and they'd be wearing his jersey, and they'd want a statue Jim Brown and Ray Lewis doing a dance outside the stadium.

I think what bothers me the most is that Cleveland fans look extremely petty and jealous bringing this argument up every time Ray Lewis' name comes up. You're that guy who runs into a successful millionaire at your HS reunion and keeps bringing up that time he got a DUI in HS.

Fact is, if people were really that upset about Ray Lewis' supposed involvement in that murder, they'd quit watching the NFL and take a real stand against it. I guess bringing it up on a message board is a happy medium?

Not true at all, as soon as Dante Stallworth killed the guy I was running him out of town. If we had Ray Lewis I'd do the same. I do respect Ed Reed's and Sugg's game. Ray Rice, not really as much. That has nothing to do with his personality, I just think he's an above average back, but nothing special.

And if I was a millionaire at my HS reuinion, I wouldn't be talking about a dui I got. I'd be there with my trophy wife and try to get a three sum goin (the good kind). Your hypothetical of an HS reunion sounds like it may have actually happened to you though...

Why would I stop watching the NFL? The NFL is not part of the legal system. If anything, I should be voting in new judges.

Ok, guess its not over... I'm far from bent, and I'll spout whatever I please.

I dunno, Albert Belle allegedly tried his best to run over some kids with his SUV, and the city collectively LAUGHED bout it. "Albert being Albert". I guess because the kids got away, it was cool. Dude did hit 50 bombs one year.

If anything, Cleveland fans have so little to cheer about, they put guys on an even higher pedestal. But whatever, sure, this fan base is a beacon of justice and liberty. Or a bunch of ridiculous, hypocritical, bitter people who are warped by all the constant losing they've endured. Honestly, one of the biggest reasons I want Cleveland to win a championship just so the city can finally quit rooting for others to fail.

I'm a Cleveland fan since birth, but there are times I'd rather not be lumped in with this fan base. Like when they're irresponsibly lobbing accusations at Ray Lewis for committing murder without any proof, and looking petty and small doing it. I'll stand by that.

Didn't Albert do that after he was with the Indians? IDK that idiot did so much stupid stuff it's hard to remember. I do remember him throwing a camera at a reporter or something to that effect. I was too young to care about that shit at the time though (bout 10 years old).

Fucking OJ got away with murder too, doesn't mean he didn't do it:chuckles:

In similar fashion, when it was about to come to a civil trial, Ray Ray opened up the wallet nice and wide.

Difference is that Stallworth was nothing, and Lewis is one of the greatest ever.

There is a difference. Not justified difference, but one fans view differently. I'm not at all saying you wouldn't have the same stance, but if he were a Brown, fans would justify it if he killed their own mother, as long he won games.

And for the record I don't condone, or respect someone that kills another person. I just don't know what happen. I respect Lewis the football player. I don't know Lewis the man. You can separate the two. If someone doesn't like him personally, then that's their right. But you can't take away what he has done on the field.

Just as crappy as a person OJ was/is, you can't take away the fact he was a GREAT player.

Ray Lewis just heard about the stabbing after the Atlanta game and quickly tossed his suit in the trash out of habit.

After the Super Bowl he should go Lance and just come clean....spend some time in the pen
