RBF League 2023 - Gary Barnidge Classic!

In my family league which is in its 14th season I’m going to have the most points scored against me in league history

and there hasn’t been a significant rule change in probably 7 years

That is rough.

Ironically, in that God-forsaken Public League I am in with my super team, loaded with talent at every position 4-deep, I have the fewest points scored against me and still managed to be 6-7.

I have never missed the playoffs nor finished with a losing record. I will miss the playoffs in 3/4 leagues with losing records. So, I think it is abundantly clear I have either lost my touch or the Fantasy Gods are telling me something. So, time to retire while my all-time record is above .650.

Great regular season and very competitive! Special props go to @SixPACK who seemed to be be near the top or at the top of the standings all year, securing the top seed. Also have to give a shout to the leader in total points scored @Hurl Bruce who is a threat from the fourth seed. This is a very active league considering there is no money involved, just RCF bragging rights!

And we say toodles to Man Called X, the last place finisher. I have to say he did outscore Supersurge on the season, but lost on record. Team Marshmallo Nipples has been a staple of the league for years and never got a high slot in the draft until this year... which he used on Baker Mayfield. You weren't the only dreamer this year, X.

Now let the playoffs begin!

I'm not salty about getting booted out. I've honestly thought about leaving the league for the past 2 seasons anyway. I don't follow football at all, so every draft is just a guessing game for me.

Nobody picked Penny up for a few weeks. I took him as a gamble knowing that Pete Carroll wanted all season to get him more involved a week after Carson got the fumble fingers. Every team has that one position that drives you nuts, for me it was RB2.

Good luck in the playoffs people! Also, crazy how much the betting has gone down in the years. I remember eating a bowl full of mayo with a whole can of black olives dumped in it on cam. Was fucking disgusting.

But maybe since we are, well, more esteemed, I will get in on that bottle of liquor bet with someone next year. Seems more appetizing than a green bean/laxative milkshake.
