Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yeah, I have tried doing that on my own Twitter (sports_by_stats) and James has as well. I think Keys pumped it out a few times on the RBF Twitter, too.

We are recording and releasing every Monday and Thursday. I think we are going to shift to Sunday (post-game) and keep the Thursday slot, as it lets us record with most of the info.

One idea we were thinking of is doing a live call-in show before games. Would that be of interest?

We have to watch for copyright violations. Any lawyer have thoughts to avoid that problem?

I play guitar and can easily record something, but sound quality won’t be good enough, imo.

Thank you so much!!
I don’t think copyrighting is an issue unless you are a business. Even then I wouldn’t worry about it, but let’s ask @The Human Q-Tip to give us a proper legal opinion.

So yeah make sure that every episode you shout out your and your guest’s Twitter handles. Twice. Just don’t assume that your audience knows who you are bc new listeners won’t.

I like a post-game, but I am more of a pre-game listener myself, which Thursday works for since I will get to it Friday morning. See how it goes - and ask your audience too.

My favorite podcast is Bankless. Just give that a listen - maybe a Friday roll up for how they have a methodical format.

and I would throw in some way where you can take a question of the day via Twitter - even if you don’t get any bites, you can make one up and say it was from me, or Jigo.

James and I recorded this afternoon and we talked about all of these. We’re definitely going to start selling ourselves/guests twice an episode, are planning an AMA, and going to try and do a “live pregame” show once per month.

Great episode - if I use Spotify instead of iTunes, how can I get you that increase in the algorithm?
Thanks!

My understanding is that Spotify gives points from pressing play, listening for sixty straight seconds, and finishing the entire podcast (literally the entire podcast). Spotify also uses a separate algorithm to determine what podcasts you will like, so our podcast is actually helped if you listen to the same podcasts as other listeners.

I am not sure if they have ratings or not, but it seems like it uses other metrics s primarily, anyways.

TIB put out another podcast. I thought this one was great. I liked the "we have to get used to good players getting cut" angle and ofc loved the JOK material too. PFF had Newsome having a shitty game, but obviously you both liked-not-loved what you saw.

This was a fun one tho. I listened to the entire thing on Spotify.

yeah I quoted myself. Fight me. One thing I forgot is in speaking of our 2’s beating their 1’s… our 4’s beating their 3’s, I think Stefanski and coaching deserves a bit of credit, not just jags suck and browns have all of the talent.

Oh yeah. Stefanski is the man! He’s such a great coach. Both from a tactical standpoint, but more importantly, he’s a great man manager.

Now it’s a new pod alert!

Once again, rate, review, and subscribe! Please listen to the entire episode, or at the very least, fast forward to the end and let it finish. All of this helps us with the iTunes and Spotify algorithms.

I bitch (a lot) about the defensive tackle position, but it was a really fun episode to record.
