RCF 2021 NFL Mock Draft: On the clock...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
With the 182nd pick in the RCF Mock, the Atlanta Falcons select:

ISRAEL MUKUAMU, CB, South Carolina 6041 | 212 lbs. | JR. Bossier City, La. (Parkway) 11/28/1999 (age 21.42)

STRENGTHS: Oversized frame with the wingspan of a pterodactyl…moves with limber, flexible joints and adequate foot quickness…uses his long arms to press and ride receivers at the line of scrimmage…can cover ground once he unfurls his long legs…makes plays on the ball in the air with a large catch radius…soft hands to make full extension grabs…his long arms also help him make lasso tackles…the South Carolina coaches say he and Jaycee Horn led the culture change in the program…experienced at cornerback and safety, lining up both inside and outside…led the team in interceptions each of the last two seasons.

WEAKNESSES: Leggy, high-cut athlete…his longer gait delays his ability to suddenly redirect…bites on initial route fakes and savvy receivers will have no problem separating from him if he doesn’t jam…resorts to grabbing once beaten and will be a flag magnet until he fixes this…half-hearted tackler…more likely to go backwards on tackle attempts than drive through his man…needs to add more glass to his diet and improve his toughness at contact…doesn’t use his length as a weapon to tear through blocks…ball production declined in 2020. SUMMARY: A two-year starter at South Carolina, Mukuamu switched between cornerback and free safety in former head coach Will Muschamp’s defense, seeing reps outside, in the nickel and field safety. He made a name for himself as a sophomore with a team-best four interceptions, including three against Georgia’s Jake Fromm, including a pick-six. When he stays in position, Mukuamu creates a sizeable shadow over wide receivers with the natural reflexes to disrupt passing lanes. Regardless if he plays corner or safety, false steps are rampant on film and his toughness doesn’t consistently match his imposing size.

Overall, Mukuamu offers intriguing length, flexibility and ball skills, but he is a raw, traits-based prospect and his NFL position will depend on scheme, projecting as a press-man corner who can be a match-up defender.

This pick was done at random which is as good as any way to select a player for the Falcons.

The Ravens and @Rookie are on the clock for the final pick.

Tommy Kraemer, OG, Notre Dame

Strengths
Four-year starter at tackle (2017) and guard (2018-20).
NFL lineman's frame with broad shoulders and big hands.
Punches into full extension early in rep.
Keeps hands active to maintain feel for rusher.
Adequate anchor and base width in protection.
Comes off and into the block with force.
Uses upper-body strength to maul.
Strong hands to latch, run and bury his block.

Weaknesses
Missed time with season-ending knee injury in 2019.
Upper body drifts out past his feet.
Leaning allows easier entry for pass rushers.
Missing foot quickness and body control to scramble.
Will have trouble matching against moving fronts.
Feet give way on lateral sustain attempts.
Segmented second-level climbs.

Wrapping this thing up with the last pick in the RCF Draft the Baltimore Ravens select:

Nick Eubanks, TE, Michigan

Tony Pauline’s Nick Eubanks Scouting Report:

Positives: Athletic tight end who previously flashed ability but is coming off a poor senior campaign. Plays tough, nasty football, shows good awareness, and works hard as a blocker or pass catcher. Quickly releases off the line, runs solid routes for a bigger tight end, and extends his hands to offer the quarterback a target.

Nicely adjusts to the errant throw and extends to snatch the ball away from his frame. Makes the difficult catch with defenders draped on his back. Moves incredibly well for a big man, uses his hands to separate from opponents, and comes back to the ball to make himself an available target. Starts with good knee bend, blocks with proper pad level, and keeps his head on a swivel.

Negatives: Looked like he was going half-speed at times last season. Struggles coming away with the difficult reception.

Analysis: Eubanks looked like he was developing into a top-100 pick off the 2019 film, but he struggled last season along with the entire Michigan offense. He possesses the size, blocking ability, and pass-catching skill, to play at the next level. He’ll be a steal in the later rounds.

Baltimore's Picks:
Micah Parsons, LB, Penn State
Dillon Radunz, OT, North Dakota State
Dyami Brown, WR; North Carolina
Jaylen Twyman, DT, Pitt
Aaron Banks, OG, Notre Dame
Victor Dimukeje, EDGE, Duke
Nick Eubank, TE, Michigan

With the 15th pick of the 2021 RCF Mock Draft, the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS select...

View attachment 5412

LB Kyle Van Noy
C Ted Karras
TE Hunter Henry
DL Henry Anderson
WR Kendrick Bourne
LB Matt Judon
DB Jalen Mills

And retain the following players...
FB Jakob Johnson
DL Lawrence Guy
RB James White
C David Andrews
K Nick Folk
DB Cody Davis
DL Carl Davis
DL Deatrich Wise Jr.
DB Justin Bethel
QB Cam Newton

And get the following players back from opting out...
LB Dont’a Hightower
TE Matt LaCosse
RB Brandon Bolden
FB Dan Vitale
OG Najee Toran

We don't lose in New England. 7-9 is unacceptable. We resigned Cam Newton, but we obviously know he's not good enough to lead us back to the playoffs which why we only gave that asshole $3.5M. That's backup money. We spent in free agency. We added weapons. We're getting opt outs back. With McCorkle taking the reins under quarterback guru Josh McDaniels, the New England Patriots are BACK you FUCKERS.

With the 131th pick in the 2021 RCF Mock Draft, the Baltimore Ravens select:

aaron-banks.png

Aaron Banks
  • Position: Offensive Guard
  • School: Notre Dame
  • Current Year: Redshirt Junior
  • Height: 6’5 3/8″
  • Weight: 338 pounds
  • Wingspan: 82″
  • Arm: 33 1/8″
  • Hand: 10 1/8″

Tony Pauline’s Aaron Banks Scouting Report:

Positives: Large, explosive lineman who is best suited for a power gap offense. Fires off the snap, blocks with proper lean, and easily controls defenders at the point. Opens up the running lanes, anchors in pass protection, and blocks down on opponents, completely smothering them from the action.

Plays with a nasty attitude, keeps his head on a swivel, and always looks for someone to hit. Jolts defenders with a violent hand punch and easily knocks opponents from their angles of attack.

Negatives: Minimally effective blocking in motion. Cannot slide in space. Struggles to adjust and cannot hit a moving target.

Analysis: Banks is a big, powerful lineman with outstanding size. He plays to his measurables, but is not light on his feet, and will struggle in any system that asks him to move around the field. In the proper system, Banks could start at the next level.

@Hurl Bruce is on the clock
I'll say it now, this is probably going to be the biggest gap from this draft and the real one.

Oh look at that. All you guys making fun of me for Kyle Trask... Bucs take him as Brady’s backup...

Be prepared. The league is on notice!!!

T.R.A.S.K !!!!!!!

With the 2023 mock draft sign-ups underway, I felt it would be a good time to bump old mock drafts for posterity.
