RCF Hoops Vets League 2023 - Draft Sunday, October 22 @ 8:00 pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You forced my hand with some transactions yesterday. The trade deadline kind of screwed my squad up, and my trade with @Smooth ended up a loss. Still fun!
Didn’t do me much better so don’t feel too bad.. :chuckle:

Although, that may have had to do with my teams current state rather than the trade having an impact..

I really thought Norm Powell and Ty Lue were going to make a run for the 6th man of the year award. Instead he jacked up his shoulder.

Oh well, I can say that I won the draft and had a juggernaut on my hands until the Nets traded for half of my team at the deadline.

I dont think anyone won a trade this year. Fucking injuries... I felt more confident about my team this year than years past to only get smacked around.

Its funny Ron, my team sucked and I made the playoffs. Years past, team was stacked, but would just miss the playoffs. The way the cookie crumbles (and they are opening a Crumbl down the road from me - good?).

Of the 4 top seeds, 3 progressed. The only one that did not....Mister keys, Mister keys!

Fun season - may have went a bit too deep on the roster numbers, as the waiver wire was pretty bleak all season. Maybe best to remove 1 or 2 spots, adding a bunch back into the pool.

Had some oddball scoring categories too (double and triple doubles). I liked the 3 IL spots, as dudes are always injured. Multiple times this year I had 3 on IL and 2 more designated for IL but had to stay on active roster.

For fantasy, I tend to draft younger players and run with potential so when I ended up with Lebron, Butler, and Lillard, I was scared of how it was going to play out. Lebron was strong until he got injured, but after missing out on Cavalier players, snagging Lauri was a huge win. I am hoping for continued health and not too many rest days during the rest of the playoffs...

Whelp, I opened my mouth and both Lauri and Lillard don't play for a week. Rough timing.

I don't have any problem with "load management" but this week I'm 100% against it. It will probably decide the outcome.

Feels like our playoffs are extremely impacted by both load management and tanking every year. Two years ago I wasn't aware the playoffs started until the championship week, that was totally due to key players being benched healthy.

Just like the Real NBA the length is too long. But I don't think there is a good solution to that in the current landscape.

Terry Rozier listed as Q (knows how to play basketball)

Load management strikes again! Great matchup and good season, thanks for having me, ya'll.
6 rebounds, .04 FG%, 3 DD, or 1 TD away from winning. That looks like much closer than my game with Real Deal, which was still within a reasonable margin.

2nd year as a replacement for Erie. I'll be game for next year too.
