Tell me what you think of this... I think it's pretty realistic and fair:

Trade #1 between Sacramento, Cleveland and Portland

sac.gif

SACRAMENTO KINGS
IN: Jarret Jack (PG); Drew Gooden (PF); Damon Jones (PG)
OUT: Mike Bibby (PG)

Why for Sacramento? With the Mike Bibby rumors constantly circling, you have to think that at one point he will be traded... With the Kings not in contention this year and probably not next year, Bibby will likely leave as a free agent, so getting what the Kings can, would be wise... Getting a package of Drew Gooden, Jarret Jack and Damon Jones is pretty solid value as they get two positions of need in PF and PG and get two young, solid players at each position to start (maybe) rebuilding...

[PG] Jarret Jack / Beno Udrih / Damon Jones
[SG] Kevin Martin / John Salmons / Quincy Douby
[SF] Ron Artest / Francisco Garcia / Dahntay Jones
[PF] Drew Gooden / Kenny Thomas / Justin Williams
[CT] Brad Miller / Spencer Hawes / Mikki Moore

IR: Shareef-Abdur Rahim
Released: Orien Greene and Darryl Watkins

CLEVELAND CAVALIERS
IN: Mike Bibby (PG); Darius Miles (SF); Channing Frye (PF/CT)
OUT: Damon Jones (PG); Eric Snow (PG); Shannon Brown (SG); Drew Gooden (PF); Cedric Simmons (PF/CT)

Why for Cleveland? Well, it's pretty obvious why they do this... They get their PG and legit scorer to put next to LeBron without having to give up players like Anderson Varejao and Daniel Gibson... They also get a nice replacement piece for Gooden in Channing Frye... Even though they take on Darius Miles contract, he would likely be bought out...

PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS
IN: Eric Snow (PG); Shannon Brown (SG); Cedric Simmons (PF/CT)
OUT: Jarret Jack (PG); Channing Frye (PF/CT); Darius Miles (SF)

Why for Portland? I personally think this isn't too good of a deal for the Blazers, but some Portland fans think that something along these lines are half-decent; I curious to see Portland fans reactions... While they do give up some nice players in Jack and Frye, they attain two huge goals: get a nice size expiring next year in Snow and get rid of Miles and his contract... In the process they also pick up some nice prospects in Simmons and Brown... Don't forget Simmons 1.5 mil contract will expire next year too, totaling the expirings next year to 9 million... I also think that a veteran like Snow, will have a huge impact on a young Portland team... It's hard to let a player like him go, as a Cleveland fan because of what he brought to the game on and off the court...

[PG] Steve Blake / Sergio Rodriguez / Eric Snow / Taurean Green
[SG] Brandon Roy / James Jones / Shannon Brown
[SF] Martell Webster / Travis Outlaw
[PF] LaMarcus Aldridge / Josh McRoberts
[CT] Joel Pryzbilla / Raef LaFrentz / Cedric Simmons

IR: Greg Oden

Trade #2 between Cleveland and Washington

WASHINGTON WIZARDS
IN: Larry Hughes
OUT: 2nd Round pick; DeShawn Stevenson; Etan Thomas

Why for Washington? While Hughes does have an injury history and he doesn't have the best contract, he fit best into Washington with Gilbert & Co. To get Larry back to Washington with the current lineup, would be deadly with the great 1,2,3,4 combo the Wizards would have as well as being a nice defensive team with good individual defensive players...

[PG] Gilbert Arenas / Antonio Daniels / Roger Mason
[SG] Larry Hughes / Nick Young
[SF] Caron Butler / Oleksiy Percherov / Dominic McGuire
[PF] Antawn Jamison / Darius Songaila
[CT] Brendan Haywood / Andray Blatche

FINAL CLEVELAND CAVALIER ROSTER

[PG] Mike Bibby / Daniel Gibson
[SG] DeShawn Stevenson / Sasha Pavlovic
[SF] LeBron James / Devin Brown / Ira Newble
[PF] Anderson Varejao / Donyell Marshall / Dwayne Jones
[CT] Zydrunas Ilgauskas / Channing Frye

I really, really like this team as they are well-balanced on both ends as well as very versatile... LeBron finally gets some well needed help without depleting the overall youth of the team... The Cavs also get a lot of bad contracts off their hands and get some friendly contracts, whose players produce well... The best thing about this team, is that they are a legit 10 deep...

Trade 1 sounds good. Trade 2 is not happening. Washington already said they don't want Larry back.

Its a very well thought out plan. As much as I want a point guard on this team I just don't see how the Cavs can take on 45 million in contracts that are owed to players (Thomas // Miles) who may never suit up again.

Larry maybe be a 40 game a year player but at least he plays.

I wasn't sure on Thomas' status, so I didn't want to comment on it and seem stupid...

But Thomas contract only has 2 more years left on it after this year and could be attractive as a trade assest in a year... If not, and he can play, he'd be a solid contributor...

And I'd like to think Miles could be bought out at a reasonable price, but if not he's in the same boat as Thomas..

It's not like they have 3 or 4 years left on their contract; it's only 2 years... It could be a very good trade assest a year or two down the road if some players go on the market...

And for getting a PG, getting rid of Hughes and Gooden and getting some nice players, it's worth it...

Plus we could probably pawn Miles off to the Knicks :)

No way does Portland do that deal. Why would they deal Jack and Frye when they have been solid for them this year for Snow, who's almost done with his career and Shannon Brown who hasn't done anything, really. And Simmons, a d-leaguer. Not bad, but I don't think Portland does it.

Trade No.2 wont happen, Washington said no thanks.

I hate saying this but i really think we are the worst team to do a trade with . The only key guys on our team that help us win are either untradeable or have small contracts that can't get us the important pieces we need to get better.. Like if we trade boobie we will have to trade av to get a decent player ... We'd have to trade z because no one wants the 'others'.. I don't think anyone is gonna take on larry 'the plague' Hughes (hope this sticks) .. No team is desperate enough to see if he fits their system. He was decent in Atlanta but their system is different now.. As much as LeBron probably hates it we are stuck with our suck of a back court unless we give up our important pecies , expiring contracts and draft picks..

Why not?

They currently have 4 PG's on the roster and have it made known that Jack is expendable in the right deal...

Frye is a decent player, but nothing special...

The main reason they do this is because of the speculation that the Blazers will try to clear cap space for next year and go after Chris Paul in free agency and that's what this trade accomplishes... It gives them nearly 8 mil coming off the books that offseason, which is good cap room, to start out with... It makes plenty of sense...

Plus adding a veteran like Snow would be great for a young Blazers team..

You'd be surprised by how many Blazers fans like the idea, especially with Miles going...

How do you know? All it said in a newspaper is that they weren't interested... Things could change...

Chris Paul will be re-signed with the Hornets, if thats why they are clearing space, they are wasting a lot of time. Although Frye isn't nothing special, he is a solid player and has done OK with Portland. Jack is a good player, I don't know why they would wanna get rid of him.

I just don't see either happening, not that their bad deals, but the fact of the matter that Ferry wont even think about pulling it off. He'll be stuck on Mike Bibby for about 2 more years.

But Smooth, I want Chris Paul on the Cavs... :(

Do we see Paul actually re-signing with the Hornets ??

Oh yeah, I'm almost 99.9% sure he will.. And no, I'm not like Health and have a "source", thats just me being me. ;)

I wish we could get Paul, and I also heard he and James are pretty good friends. Would be a championship type team with him.

Good way not to bite on the bait. Pip laid a lil' Wyle E Coyote trap out there for you, and you cleverly Road Runner'd your way right around it.

Are you sure you dont have any ...sources on CP#'s intentions?:chuckles:
