Red Dead Redemption

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Definitely agree. Undead Nightmare could honestly be a game on it's own right. I've had a blast with it so far.

Also, the MP horde mode is pretty fun as well... Definitely gets pretty difficult at about wave 10, especially when the time limit keeps shrinking. Then when the time limit expires, it just goes into never ending final wave until you die lol.

Having alot of fun with Undead Nightmare. Def worth $10. I like going into a town and having to clear it out.

undead nightmare is pretty fun

zombie pumas suck tho

rdr is a goty candidate for sure

Just picked this game up this week. Having a blast with it.

Just beat the story mode, i enjoyed it all the way through even though it was kind of a sad ending. Now gotta 100% it...

How long is the story mode?

It took me over 20 hours to finish it. I did a lot of side missions and bull shitting so it could be a lot shorter i guess. After finishing the story mode i'm 73.4% done with the whole game.

The worst part of getting 100% (for me) was doing all of the Wanted posters at every location. It was all luck of the draw where they sent you.

My step bro got me this game for x-mas along with uncharted 2. Oh man did I love this game. I have this huge backlog of games because of all the cheap awesome games I picked up on the steam sale. I had been playing the witcher non stop, but after giving this game a try, I couldn't play anything else until I finished. This is the first rockstar game I have actually gone through and beaten. The shooting mechanics are so much better in this game than they were in gta 4, and I much prefer the old west setting.

I know I'm a few years late to the party, and I hate to gravedig, but I just got Red Dead Redemption. I got the Rockstar Collection pack for Christmas and it comes with 4 games which include Red Dead, GTA, LA Noire, and Midnight Club (or whatever its called). So I got alot of gameplay ahead of me and I am happy because the only games I have are the NBA 2k games and the Battlefield games, and I needed some more variety and somethin to make me play games again (haven't played much at all last 3 or 4 months).

Well, Red Dead just made me feel like a Dead Beat because I just played that game longer than any game I have ever played in my life in one sitting by far. I think I just played it for 12 straight hours. And I still haven't even barely scratched the surface. I have so many more animals to hunt that I haven't even seen (bears I know for sure). I haven't even been to 70 percent of the places on the map. My honor bar or whatever is almost full on the good side. I've only had one bounty put on my head once for 20 bucks and I paid it off right away. I'm gonna play it once being the complete good guy, then once being the most despicable human being ever as the total bad guy (with invincibility because its impossible to not die when 100 marshalls are after you), then I'm going to play Undead, then play online. So I got ALOT of gameplay left ahead of me.

I'm at the part in the game where they raid Fort Mercer but Bill Willington isn't there and fled to Mexico. Don't spoil it for me but for those that have played, I think I'm pretty far aren't I?

I have a story about my first attempt at his game that might be fairly entertaining. What was really stupid is that I started the game trying to be the nice guy, I was minding my own business and respecting everyone. I never did one thing wrong the whole game. So I walk into the Sherrifs office because they were playing poker in there and I wanted to join. So I walk in, and they just start firing at me for no reason and it says "I'm wanted". So to defend myself, I kill the sheriff and 4 of his deputies. Now my wanted status is off the charts, so I just say screw it and start firing at the towns people and I kill all of the store and shop owners just because I'm already screwed. System is set up to make you fail man, now I know how black people feel.

So after that fiasco, I go to the saloon. I'm playing poker in the backroom, and I lose. I get pissed off so I kill everyone I'm playing poker with hoping I get my money back and hoping that nobody hears since its in a fairly secluded room. I was wrong. Everyone in the saloon is screaming and running around so I open fire and kill like 20 people trying to escape. By that time, I'm surrounded by about 15 or so lawmen, marshalls, and police. I was able to take a few out taking cover and hitting some through the window, but there were just way to many shots coming at me to live. So the only option I had to completely protect myself on all sides was to hide in the bathroom. So about every 1 or 2 minutes, they would send one brave soul into the bathroom where I was crouched down and prepared for them with a shotgun to blow there head off. There was a stack of about 30 dead lawmen stacked in front of the bathroom with blood all over the walls. And I just keep looting there bodies so my ammo never ran out. This process continued for about 3 hours and I discovered it was impossible to kill them all or get out of this situation. Everytime somebody was killed, a new person would magically come in and replace them.

So my Wanted level is off the charts with like a 2,000 and some bounty which is like 2 million dollars in this game. My bounty might have even reached 3000 I don't remember. And I collected it all in this one incident, but its probably because I killed 3 or 400 lawmen. So my honor level or whatever that bar is called reached full capacity to as low is it can go. The game let me know I unlocked a dark horse or some crap which was pretty cool. So since I figured out this would never end if I stayed in that bathroom for 2 weeks, I just decided to try to make a run for it. I peak out the door and summon the dark horse and run back inside and wait for it to get there. Then I run back out and jump on that bad boy, only to make it about 2 steps before I'm blown to heck and die. Yea, that was my first attempt at this game. I decided it was probably just best to restart so I started over and as I mentioned before am doing alot better this time around.

Didn't read that full novel there JK11, but if you just cleared out Fort Mercer, I'd say you are a solid 40% done with the main storyline.

It's a great game though. Still entertains me to this day.

Yea sorry that was kinda long. And yes it is fun but addicting. It was stupid though, I helped some sheriff catch two robbers, and when I went back to get my reward, he gave it to me and then he started shooting at me after that and killed me and I lost all my progress. I don't get this game sometimes.

Whoa and now things got way more interesting. Not gonna spoil it for those who haven't played (like anyway in this thread hasn't beat it by now), but I'm playing as John Marshtons kid now? Crazy. The cover makes more sense now.

Its my favorite game of all time.
