That's what they're called? The Guardians of Traffic? Never heard that.

This is very welcome news. The sooner the announcement the better.
Whatever the name is, I hope we will all get behind it. They will be our team.
I, for one will of course miss the Indians. They've been my team since childhood. Been here for generations.
I assume the club records will be frozen so everything will be new.
Club records won’t be frozen. It’s still the same team.

Not to be snarky, but how is it that plenty of people on here and elsewhere that are Tribe fans not know of the Guardians of Traffic? Did you somehow miss the giant statues outside of the ballpark when you attended games?

Corporate culture tends to create bland, safe choices.

That said, I suppose it could have been much worse.

We are all diminished by the mighty and noble steelhead not being honored.

I bet if they were the Cleveland FreeStamps people wouldn't be confused.

To be serious, I grew up on east side, often came with family via Route 90, exit on Euclid? Ended up parking around Prospect, just wasn't something I noticed...

Right. I've always been a southeast sider. Although I worked downtown for more than 3 decades, I can probably count the number of times I've been on that bridge on one hand.

I swear to God if it's the Guardians. Initially one would think that a "Guardian" is some heroic defender from evil when in fact it's a fucking traffic director. That shit's weak as hell!
