I'm still holding out hope that we see an alternate logo in the near future that prominently features the Guardians of Traffic in some respect. This eSports team with the same name has a logo that I personally dig quite a bit and would love to see the Indians/Guardians adopt something similar.

This is exactly why I was pumped for the guardians, a sandstone and black logo would be dope.

The music group or the Commodore 64? (My first personal computer.)

I think Commodores was my third choice behind Guardians because it was fairly unique.
Both actually. That name is just cool for a team name.

Hey. Does this mean that Slider is gone?
Lord, I hope so. Never liked him, or it.
I'm ready for some big ass Guardian statue running around.

Doubt it.

Especially when you look at the way they kept the Indians colors and styling, it's clear they are doing everything they can to make the change easy for people to digest.

I wouldn't be surprised if we had a secondary mascot though, like the way the Cavs have Sir CC

I guess different people just have different aesthetic tastes. This looks very blah to me which is part of why I didn't want Guardians in the first place. It's hard to generate much excitement in the overall population with gray tones though I think.

Actually Black Keys went to my High School, so did Chrissy Hynde and Joseph Arthur (who isnt as famous, but he was nominated for a Grammy and was the only one of the 3 I actually knew and was friends with, lol)
Didn't even know Joseph Arthur was from here. Cleveland can at least claim the guitarist from Hatebreed, Frank Novinec, is from here.

You know who Joseph Arthur actually is? Not my type of music, we were good friends when we were younger. Through high school he started playing for major bands and I played football so we werent as good of friends through high school, but no reason. I used to go over to his house with other friends occasionally. Havent talked to him since high school, but that is true with a ton of my friends, i moved away and never moved back after high school. Joe moved to Atlanta, got discovered in mid 90's and now lives in Brooklyn. My brother who plays guitar and hangs out with some of the musicians from high school has jammed with him a few times since high school, but he lives in the area still.
