I realize I didn't come here to comment.

I 100% love the name Guardians, especially the place from where it gets its name. Uniquely Cleveland, not some desperate "look at us" tourist shit.
And yes, it's not THAT much of a change. The team colors, uniform, "Block C" logo, name logo is basically the same. I get where there "G Wings" comes from but I expect that to be replaced with the face of the Guardians in due time. The only other name I liked nearly as much was the "Commodores" but that was for reasons that have nothing to do with Cleveland, lol

Bring 'em on. And let's hope that with the new name, Dolan stops being an absentee owner.

The music group or the Commodore 64? (My first personal computer.)

I think Commodores was my third choice behind Guardians because it was fairly unique.

Guardians is horrid, especially the example logos.

Spiders would have been way better, with way better logo possibilities.

Even Rockers would have been better.

Actually Black Keys went to my High School, so did Chrissy Hynde and Joseph Arthur (who isnt as famous, but he was nominated for a Grammy and was the only one of the 3 I actually knew and was friends with, lol)
You went to Firestoned?

Ernie was a HUGE sports fan. He hosted and played in many, many softball (and basketball) games that he expected to Win.

That is really cool!

I am admittedly far too young to have been around during the heyday of Ghoulardi, but my Dad and my Uncles all swore by him.

They should do a Ghoulardi alt jersey.

I posted the C64 logo and no one recognized it.

If we can get his son, the great filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson, to throw out the first pitch that might be the greatest day of my life.
