RG3 Out Until 2014?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
umm... what the hell good is this going to do?

the seahawks won the game, the field isnt going to get played for another 6 months, what good does this do.

also I would love to know why the field was so torn up, we hadnt received any significant rain the area since right after christmas, you would have thought that would have been plenty of time to re-sod it or whatever they do

My guess is just to raise attention to the issue. Its shameful the Skins/NFL are playing the biggest games on that kind of turf. I don't know what the solution is, but that is unsat.

That said, no matter what you do, it's still hard to maintain good natural turf in December and January in this part of the country. Lots of stadiums in the NE and Midwest turn bad around this time (if not before) because of the winter conditions. I remember Ohio State's field being awful before they went to the fake stuff, and I'm sure you would notice it more in Cleveland if they ever made it the playoffs.

Well, I'm safe until at least 2016...

By healthy season do you mean never missing a down, game or quarter due to injury? If it is a down, you're safe forever.

Not that I called this earlier or anything, more MMQB than anything, but..... Dan Snyder should have implemented a turf field the second he locked onto RG3.

The Rams, however, are sitting on a fortune right now...

That provides only a marginal benefit, considering you play half your games on the road...

RGIII got injured at home so I would say cutting the risk in half is better than not doing anything to help make a safer field.

Did the field have anything to do with his injuries?

It had nothing to do with his concussion...

The 1st knee injury his leg was flying through the air and got hyperextended...

Against Seattle I think his leg was totally compromised and ultimately just gave out...I dont think any sort of turf would have changed that. He was damaged goods coming into the game. I guarantee they find significant previous damage during their tests today.

Would you rather have your stud running QB on slippery grass or would you rather have him on stable turf? That's my point, which I'm sure you already know.

You're absolutely right...I'm just going to use your post to say that I'd rather not have my stud QB running. :chuckles:

Good for Indy for not buying into the RG3 hype and sticking with Luck #1.

Oh, I agree wholeheartedly. Look at :40 in this highlight video: http://www.nfl.com/videos/auto/0ap2000000123103/Wild-Card-Andrew-Luck-highlights To have the frame of mind to stay behind the LOS and throw that ball instead tuck the ball shows me a QB who thinks throw before run.

I heard some beat reporter out of Washington say multiple tears to the ACL... Potentially a re-tear of an older injury and a new one to boot. Not looking good.

Bottom line - they rushed him back for the short-term gain and either overlooked or didn't care about the long-term future. Sure, RG3 wanted play, but the Skins were the ultimate deciders of that. That James Andrews never cleared him is all I need to know.

He did clear him to play in the game.
