This is the year we win the Super Bowl. For 32!

Here we go

When OJ Simpson broke Jim Brown's single season record with 2,000 yards, Jim was happy for him, but was surprised it took so long. Why? When they narrowed the hash marks in the middle of the field, Jim felt they should have immediately had 2,000 yard seasons.

Here's another great Jim Brown story:

One year the trainer noticed Jim was limping and asked what was wrong. Jim said his big toe hurt. The trainer asked if he'd have it x-rayed. Jim said, No, because it didn't matter. He was going to play no matter what.

After the season he did have it x-rayed and it was broken. That was the only year he didn't rush for 1000 yards. It was 900+. I don't recall if it was one of his 12 game or 14 game season.

I listened to most of the 1964 championship season on the radio, since TV was blacked out in Cleveland.

When the Browns had 3rd and long it was not an automatic pass. Giving the ball to Jim was just about as good.

For that season, my dad got an antenna rotor: a directional antenna that would allow him to pick up broadcasts from Toledo. We watched several snow-filled games broadcast from Toledo.

Smacking women around is more than being flawed. But, as long as you’re a great athlete your praises will be sung and no one will care
It should be noted that he did a ton for the community and for young black men in the area and around the country for 20 or 30 years.

Yes, he definitely was flawed. But he did some great things for the community as well.
