Dude... I wonder how many people didn't get this "schtick". Hilarious stuff.
Oh, just the entire executive leadership at NBC.

Brandon Tartikoff chief among them who thought OJ Simpson was being treated unfairly.

Good grief. No one liked AVIS that much.

Announcement of his death was 2nd highest rated post in last 24 hours on Reddit.

Combining the next highest 3 posts about it in alternative subs put it about 100k more than that post

Always felt kinda bad for him, that people didn't really get him or like him as much as he should have been. Didn't expect his death to get this much attention.

I don't think people take time to appreciate entertainers until they are gone. All of this outpouring of admiration will lead to more people checking out his routines too.

Norm's comedy is timeless. We were living among one of the best comedians and sometimes it takes death to realize this.

I've always thought one of the great things about Norm on that clip is that he pretty quickly picked up on the fact that she wasn't happy about that movie, and was kind of bummed/embarrassed about it. He probably made it less awkward for her just by giving her something to laugh at it.

Conan's reaction to Norm's final shot is priceless.

Don Ohlmeyer.

Strange thing about that was Norm said Fuck on air the week before he was fired. A fly flew in his mouth and he was like "What the fuck was that". I was cracking up when I saw it live, but was worried they would fire him as they had fired other people before for that.

They tried using that as a way to fire him, but Norm wouldn't keep his mouth shut and he immediately started telling people how Don Ohlmeyer said he wasn't funny on Letterman, which was so absurd it made Ohlmeyer look like a total quisling(Dave's word).

I thought it was a fascinating "steal the narrative" move because NBC didn't even attempt to keep up the charade of firing him for swearing on live TV after that. Everyone just accepted what Norm said and he was hosting SNL the next year after his show was hit.

I'm pretty sure I posted this in RCF a few years ago to defend Norm's honor...

...Stumbled upon it on a family trip. Really shouldn't have played it on front of my kids, but couldn't turn it off.

This is just the funniest thing I have ever seen where no one can take this movie seriously. The fact her career never recovered is crazy. She obviously hated Melrose place, but she used an exit door that required her to make out with Carrot Top.

Conan cannot make it sound appealing. He totally failed because he wanted to join in clowning. This is a top 3 TV moment for me ever. I watched this as it happened and I was howling.
