Round 1 Game 2 -| Cavs vs. Bulls | April 19, 2010 | 8:00 EST TNT

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It felt to me the cavs just winged it tonight...... Lets play sloppy defense and launch a lot of shots tonight and if all else fails Lebron will just do his fourth quarter thing and win it anyways..... Just not cavalier defense basketball at but give credit to the balls as they are actually trying to win unlike the Pistons from the first round last year..... The cavaliers have to realize that the Bulls actually care and want too win, once the cavs realize that they will be fine.

In game 3, we have to take better care of the ball, or at least force more turnovers on the Bulls. Bulls had just 4 turnovers to our 11. At the very least we need to cut down that differential to 2 or 3. Can't give the Bulls 7 extra possessions on their home court.

That, and we gave up 13 offensive rebounds compared to 5 offensive rebounds for us. If we don't lose the TO battle by 7 and the offensive rebounding battle by 8, we blow them out. That's 15 extra scoring chances.

The defensive effort was okay on the floor... but our scheme was awkward. I've rarely seen the team play forms of a zone that emphasize doubling on the perimeter, and the result was an open painted area. I don't know if we are going to continue to perfect this defensive look or scrap it.

Please fellas, the J.J. talk? He isn't the right match up right now, but he might be in the future. Playoff teams run an eight deep rotation in order to get everyone in the groove. The Cavs occasionally stretched it to nine when they wanted Damon Jones or Boobie to become the "shooting specialist" in the past, but it didn't seem to work.

The only coach who tried a rotation of ten was Hubie Brown... and he never came close to a championship, despite his genius.

Would also be happy if Shaq was allowed to play the game of basketball instead of being taken out with some bogus fouls. He may not pull down big rebounding numbers, but his body allows other guys to go after the ball more aggressively because he can block out two bigs at once, and even a small guard too if he didn't use deoderant before the game.

I'll never complain about a win but the Cavs do have to clean up some things as they go forward in the playoffs. A game like this won't cut it against an Orlando.
The D especially needs to pick it up. Too many easy points in the paint and need to slow down their transition game too. Blocking out and getting a body on people might help too. A little lazy there tonight. Bulls and mainly Noah are burning the Cavs on the hard shows by the Cavs bigs. Either make it a softer show or the rotations need to be crisper.

Cavs did play well enough to beat the Bulls. This year's team has so much depth and so many more weapons that somebody is always there to step up.

The idea of going to Hickson crossed my mind too. His athleticism may have helped tonight. Tough spot for Brown though because you want to go with a somewhat set rotation now and not disrupt things too much but sometimes there are moments where the game and ability of another bench player could be useful.

Now it's time to make sure Noah doesn't have to come back to Cleveland this season.

I hope we stop that trapping at the top of the key crap. Rose is good, but he's not going to beat us by himself. That scheme was a direct result of Rose being able to beat us off the dribble. Occasionally it is okay to try to slow him down, but not for extended periods of time.

As for JJ, I think we should at least give him a few meaningful minutes in the first half instead of Z next game. Z really killed us tonight on both ends of the court. His +/- was somehow a +5 though. Probably thanks to being in the game for some of LeBron's 4th quarter.

Pat Forde tweet on BRON BRON,Skip like always hating..

espn4d-There he goes again

@RealSkipBayless Big picture, going forward, didn't love what I saw tonight from LeBron. Especially if I were Cav fan

espn4d- I truly enjoy working with Skip, always impressed by his preparation for the show. But on LeBron, we terminally disagree.

This was the game the Bulls had a chance at winning, probably will be a sweep now. Their top 3 players all played great, everyone on our squad struggled besides LeBron and Moon yet we still won.

Does anyone know if LeBron has been interviewed yet on the NBA.com stream? Don't really feel like listening to Noah if I don't have to.

LOL at Noah. "LeBron's pretty good. He's a pretty good player. Actually, he's an excellent player."

Noah dissing Cleveland again right now lol
