Jim Chones is right. Cavs really have not exhibited much of a confidence, or any type of swagger that they are #1 in the east. You watch the Lakers and Thunder and you get the sense that the Lakers are a high school varsity football team playing against a middle school football team.

You watch the Cavs and Bulls and it's hard to really tell who favorite is. We sure as hell don't look like a #1 seed, and it's probably due to the fact that we ended the season in preseason fashion rather than playoff preparation mode. Our guys are soft and don't deliver playoff fouls. Not Shaq, not LeBron, not Z, not Andy. Mo, Parker and Antawn are way too soft on their cover also. You might as well put some cardboard cutouts out there. They might offer more of a fight. It's discouraging. Everything looks out of sync, our defensive is terrible (I'm actually missing the days of Ben Wallace), and the ball is at a stand still on offense for us. I might have seen maybe 3 nice interior passes by the Cavaliers (That number was much higher when J.J. was playing by the way).

Most of all I am really shocked by how bad Shaq has been. 17 year veteran? Hundreds of playoff games? Multiple championship rings? None of that expertise in showing up for the Cavs when we need it most.

Tough to argue with any of that. Especially the swagger.

Shaq has played 3 games in what 2 months?

I think he comes back with 15 and 8 or so....I do think JJ shoukld play more though.....Bulls and Celts both can't run with Cle in the open floor....you would think MB would know this!!!

I said Cavs in five and I'm sticking by that prediction. Very rarely do any championship teams actually coast to a title, and as such I'd caution people about getting too worked up over any single game over the course of a playoff run. How many games did the injured Rockets take the eventual champion Lakers to last year? Seven? Part of winning a title involves overcoming adversity, and I fully expect this team to win a title. Nothing comes easy, and a loss isn't always a bad thing when it comes to what it can do to a team's mental focus.

And people talk about the Lakers having some secret swagger, and I'm just not seeing it. A Thunder team that has never been in the playoffs before played them closer in LA than the Bulls played in Cleveland, and is right there with them right now in OKC. Unless you're the 01 Lakers you simply don't sweep every series on your way to the Finals, and people shouldn't overreact.

yea very true.

wait till we lose game 4 to freak out, lol.

This is going to be a seven game series.

Don't you guys remember the 2008 Champions(a.k.a The Green Douchebags) being taken to 7 games by the lowly 2007-08 Hawks?

Even though theres no much shame in it, 7 games is pretty unlikely.

Well the Lakers lost, I guess their swagger didn't help them out tonight....

And to add the Lakers lost by 5, due to straight up play by the Thunder.

Cavs however lost due to improper management of the time outs. Nothing more.

This loss means nothing.

The Cavs lost because of piss poor effort for 3 quarters. You don't go down by 20+ because of improper management of timeouts.

This was sick..wacthing the Bulls just do whatever they wanted..no intensity..no nothing..and I said Jamison needed to step up,he didn't..MO did little until late..no defense.
Hey I know Rose is good but for him to just imitate Wade in the paint disgusted me..
There was hardly any adjustment or anyone stepping up to stop him..
AV is letting Noah outplay him..
