Round 1 Game 7 | Pacers @ Cavs | April 29, 2018 | 1:00 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The biggest numbers (beside Bron’s 45 points):
- TT: 15 and 10, on 5-6 shooting; 1 big block
- Hill: 11 and 6, on 9-11 from the line; 3 assists
- Love: 4-7 from 3
- JR: 3-9 from 3
- Every Cav not named Bron/Love/JR: 1-10 from 3
- Total rebounds: 44-37 for us
- Bogdanovic: 1-7 from 3
- Lance: -19 in 12 minutes

So will we be relaxed for Game 1 since we overcame the stress of this series? Hood and Clarkson must contribute if we're going to have a chance. Shit at least one of them.
Couldn't agree more, i was stressed to the max.....girlfriend couldn't even be in the same room as me. You have to admit, Indiana came to play this series.

Kevin Love is embarrassing.

3:12pm today, everyone shitting on Love, and it peaks with this take.

Love then hits two triples and a tough jumper to extend the lead, and help close out the series. Shitting on the haters.

That's why he's GQing it and y'all are jerking it.

(But really, he sucked for 6.75 games this series)

Dude you crazy Toronto are way better than the Pacers

I have no problem with him arguing with me. In fact I'd love it. But he'd rather throw memes at me in S34 or make snide comments after I completely nailed LeBron throwing a lead away deferring. If I'm wrong tell me how I'm wrong? He didn't and he probably won't. But hey, memes, yo!

When LeBron sits on the court deferring to Clarkson, Green, JR, and Hood, and puts Love in a position to fail (post ups, covered at the 3 point line), bad things happen. It's not LeBron's fault that he's gassed. It's not LeBron's fault that no one else can create offense. But the cards have been dealt, he can either defer and watch leads evaporate or he can control the game. If he's so tired he can't attack Bogdanovich or Sabonis, he should be on the bench. And tonight we saw another 3rd quarter where he came out doing this right out of the locker room. I don't buy the excuse that he's gassed right after the halftime break.
Wow. I see many areas to disagree with you on but people are expecting LeBron to do the impossible. He is already been the first to lead a team in all major statistical categories along with minutes played to win a series. Now people are expecting him to make all the correct decisions in the game along with directing the offense and playing stellar defense. No person on earth is void of criticism but in sports LeBron should get the benefit of the doubt above anyone in the history of basketball.

I'm not expecting the impossible.

Yes, he's quite a good player, now isn't he?

lolwut. that's a straw-man. I'm not expecting that, and I haven't seen a single person expecting that.

Dude is the only reason we have any chance of anything, but it's asinine to think that because of that he can't critiqued. If he's deferring to non-playmakers over and over for long stretches, I'm gonna criticize him. If he's too tired to run the offense, than he should sit down on the bench until he's ready. Thank goodness for George Hill. The simplest of pick and pops with Love took our 2 point lead when LeBron left to an 8 point lead (and extended it further after LeBron came back in). Got our #2 guy going, and got us to the point that LeBron could carry us home.

I thought this would be a typical James dominant game and, arguably, it was, but I didn't expect much from the others.

TT was balling. He knew the magnitude of this game and it showed. That looked as if it truly caught Indiana off guard and the Cavs finally had someone out there fighting for boards and clogging the middle. Seriously, I think my favorite TT play was the offensive board off of the missed Korver 3, passed it right back to Kyle who calmly sank the fucking 3. That was just beautiful. Of course, I knew Indiana would make a push and I will admit I got antsy but Lue actually making the adjustment putting George out there in the 2nd half gave the team that much needed spark and he was a nice part of sustaining a lead with James out.

Of course, James is James and that give and go with Korver with under a minute was my top play but hopefully this helps awaken the others. Toronto is going to be a challenge and I truly hope this hard fought grueling first round will season the playoff virgins up.

Wow again so many holes beginning with you saying LeBron is a pretty good player. Put some respect on that man's name..

Secondly, if a player is criticised for not getting a rebound, taking a jump shot, missing a defensive assignment, not hitting the open man and I can go on and on especially if it is the first mistake I can summize people are looking for perfection. I see it constantly on game post.

Without George Hill a tired LeBron was better than anyone on the court this entire series. If he would have rested without George the Cavs season would be over.

I have never said critiquing him is something we as fans should not do. However the standard by which one is critiquing that person with can be questioned. We are talking about a top 3 player of all time. Way more times than not he should be given the benefit of the doubt.

You think, "Yes, he's quite a good player, now isn't he?" is not giving him respect? Since linguistic nuance doesn't seem to be your thing (this was said tongue-in-cheek, and it was phrased rather obviously to reflect this), perhaps I should use the simplest language I can:

LeBron is the greatest talent to ever put on an NBA jersey.

But that doesn't mean he plays the hardest. And it doesn't mean I'm not going to criticize him when he stops running the offense right out of the locker room after halftime.

With the exception of Hill, we have no one else to run the offense. We need him to run the offense. And it's not like it takes some super high level of energy to set Kevin Love up, the simplest of pick and pops will get one of most efficient shots imaginable. And Hill had no problems showing this in a 6 minute stretch of game 7 (while LeBron was out and the first couple of minutes after LeBron came back in).

I think Calderon runs the offense just fine in limited minutes. Didn't he torch the Raptors a few weeks back for around 17 points?

I think Calderon will be far more useful against the Raptors as the Pacers guards are way quicker than the Raptors guards. I think he could run the pick and pop with love, as well. If he can stay on the floor, we may not be nearly as reliant on Hill as we were against the Pacers.

If I were the Cavs coaches, I'd be practicing Love pick and pops with everyone not named LeBron that can dribble and shoot (Hood, Hill, Calderon, JR, maybe even Cedi).
