It would have been pretty amazing to have seen what a GS vs Cavs could have become had they not felt like they had to go get Durant to beat LeBron and the Cavs. It is really sad you win 73 games get beat then have to go out and get the 2nd best player in the world to add to your already 3 all stars.
?
this is the one area where Chuck actually has a point. they talk all that analytics bullshit and then what do they do? go out and sign the 2nd best player in the galaxy. yea, genius. bet it took a lot of number crunching to tell you to do that.

Ehh, that's just because he played the wrong minutes in garbage time, lol.

Thompson was great in game 7 and he was good this entire series when he got a chance to play. I trust Tristan, and if the Celtics finish off the 76ers I really think we should throw him out there to immediately take Horford out of his comfort zone.
I think it was also the stretch in the second quarter where we ran that terrible lineup of Clarkson-Cedi-LBJ-Green-TT. Not sure what Lue was thinking on that one. It was obvious we weren't going to be able to score, and we couldn't get stops either.

Great win tonight and great series but it sucks there is no real shot to beat GS even if we beat Boston.

What kind of 4 year run could it have been ? GS wins in 2015, Cavs in 2016 then who in 2017 and 2018 ?
GS has had injury issues all year. They also have to play a Houston team that I think we actually have a better change against just because GS is so well versed at guarding LeBron and they have better personnel to do it than Houston too. I fully understand we're going to be underdogs, major underdogs, against either team. But I think we should be rooting for the Rockets. And they aren't exactly pillars of health either. And remember Harden was already super drained/tired at this time last year. And I actually feel really great about our backcourt defensively right now and with playoff LBJ's rim protection.

I do agree a healthy GS team would be the hardest and least likely chance for the Cavs to steal the title. But still gotta play the games, still have LeBron, still can get super hot from 3, Clarkson could have a Kyrie game, Korver could hit 9 threes, Love could go off... If Bron can get you one, a 3 point bombfest outlier can get you one, can maybe George Hill and Kevin Love have a repeat of game 7 for the entire night....then you're talking about a game 7....and in game 7...all bets are off. Both teams are going to be super tight and super locked it and it's probably for sure going to be a low scoring, high 80's low 90's game.....and it'd come down to the last 2 minutes probably...and we have no Kyrie and Golden State would STILL have the edge....but we still have LeBron and if he has a chance to steal another game 7 from Golden State I'm not betting against him...i think we get at least one finals buzzer beater game winner by LeBron. Would be so sweet if that was in game 7...lol. Yes, I know this is a very very very very very unlikely scenario. We got beaten easily in 5 last year. Blown out multiple times. Kyrie was always problematic for the Warriors and we are going to desperately miss his scoring ability in the finals. Not as good of a team. But we should have gone at LEAST 6 last year, blew that game 3, Korver should have made that 3...Bron should have picked up KD at half court...ugh.......plus the Warriors this year are not as good as the Warriors last year. They were upset about losing in the finals and were heavily motivated and 100% healthy besides KD's like 5 week injury that was initially diagnosed as a broken leg that would have ended his season(UGH). But anyways, the Warriors this year have shown some weaknesses. (Actually think if we still had Kyrie, we'd still have Wade, and could have still gotten JC and Nance...And I actually would pick that team over this GS team but alas...). Draymond Green's shot just hasn't been there at all this year(but 35% so far in playoffs). Now he'll shoot 55% because I said that watch, lool. Iguodala's got a bad back and when it is acting up he is really bad on the court. And it acts up often. Their bench outside of Iggy/West/SL is pretty soft/unreliable, but they don't really need to go past 8 but it's still a slight downgrade from how good they were last year. Klay also hasn't been bad, but he hasn't been other-worldly either like to where he basically just doesn't miss. I dunno. Curry is also not quite 100%, and who knows when he really will be...or if he will be at all this year. Ankle is a concern too it's not 100% the knee isn't the only issue. Guess KD is in good shape but he's still a bigger bitch than he was last year which has gotta count for something in our favor, right?

I felt that TT played well in games 4 and 5 against the Pacers, and good in game 1 with the Raptors. But after game 1 he started his slow slide. He was a beast in game 5. But it helped that LeBron got him involved in the offense. Hardly any of the bench looked good against the Pacers because of the physical play and LBJ playing 1 on 5. That pretty much took everyone else out of getting in a groove. I understand that LBJ had to take over to get the team through the series.

I have noticed that Nance needs to be involved in the offense or he disappears. But even when Nance won't shoot the ball, he usually gets steals, plays help defense, and contests shots. The physicality of the Pacers messed with most of the team. I noticed during the series that the refs weren't calling fouls on the stars of both teams, but instead dished them out to Nance and others even though they weren't playing that physical. It looked like Nance and some of the bench could have played a bigger role in the Raptors series as the games were played at a faster pace and not so clogged up in the lanes. I feel you are giving TT too much credit and the bench no credit because they didn't play big minutes against the Raptors. One can't go off the stats in the playoffs opposed to the regular season because Lue cut the bench players minutes and didn't let them get in sync. I see why he does it, but they won't get playoff experience if he doesn't play them when he can. In the long run he is screwing himself because he can't coach well enough to get the right players in the game that could get better production. He falls back in his old ways. Lue needs to understand if it worked during the regular season, it will probably work in the playoffs. That is why you use different units in the regular seasons. I understand why he did what he did in game 5 of the Pacers, and game 1 and 2 of the Raptors series. But TT's production fell off after game 1. I am curious what he will do against the Celtics. As the new guys all played well against them. Whatever Lue is doing the Cavs are playing great right now, so one can't argue that.

Did we all expect a sweep? We were all confident in our team but no one thought the Raptors wouldn't at least get 1 game, I am still shocked we won game 1 to be honest.

That team has to change and they need to come to grips with reality. I don't know if you need to trade Demar or Kyle, or fire Casey but something needs to be reworked.

Ok, that is more than enough on the opponent...

Onto, the fucking Cavaliers!

This was just a beautiful beatdown from the waning moments of the first half and it was everything I hoped for. I love that LBJ can have just a typical him game and the rest of the squad was money and they won by fucking 30. Hell, JR didn't miss and that earned him being interviewed on Sportscenter by the only tolerable guy there, SVP. Just an overall great team effort and I am absolutely loving Hill. I hope he schools Rozier a few times in the conference finals.

I am more excited for the rest for the squad, this team won't think basketball until at least Wednesday night. Good physical and mental break and then preparing for what I hope is a quick outing against Boston.

Sorry Toronto, you are just living in a Bron world....
