Didn’t see a thread and since he was an early selection thought it’d be worthy. Hope I’m not overstepping.

I personally like the selection; there are warranted concerns about measurables to project to tackle, but might we discuss?

To take him at #33 with some serious talent on the board, I think it’s fair to say that he better get a run at tackle.

I’ve allowed myself to accept the rest of the draft.

He’s a damn fine football player when you watch tape of him. He plays a little nasty. That wrestling background of his is evident in his body control on the football field.

It’s just, given our needs, he better be a tackle or this was not a justifiable pick in the location in which we did so.

We are heading into Day 3 after all, still no tackles added—which tells me they do see him as having a shot to stick outside.

I had to get into my prospect archives (YouTube, btw, in case anyone wants to see my film on him) to get some thoughts on him.

Good feet. Seems like more of a technician. Good power. Needs some coaching up. If JT sticks around to help with that coaching? Seems like he has a chance to be our LT, maybe even RT. Can play guard as well I believe. He has a good chance to earn a starting spot on the line, because outside bitonio, our line didn't live up to the preseason hype after adding 2 high price fas of being good.

Limited time viewing him, I know. But he looks like a "football guy" lol

Link me?

We got him! The Corbs!!!!

I really hope they see this guy as an LT though as Norm addressed. Otherwise I really don't get this pick at 33.

I would be shocked if JT himself didn't have input on him, and his ability to stay at LT.

Alright. 3 parts to this since I archive everything.

1) www.youtube.com

Bitonio as well as he is his mentor.

Wolf and Highsmith did a presser after the picks and said he is going to get a chance at LT. It better work out because drafting a guard that high makes no sense. He seems like a pretty well regarded talent and played every game for Nevada at LT, so I like the chances.

at worst, he seems like the #1 back up OL (for this year) that can play any position, so I think that makes it a little easier to stomach as someone is bound to get injurefd.

Hahahaha! I deserved that. I misread your post as saying you made a video.

At the very least, I’d also be super surprised if he didn’t make a few appearances in training camp for some coach-up sessions also.

Tretter is pretty average, right? If he doesn't work out at LT could he be an upgrade at Center?
