The Chubb-Hub Yardage Delivery Service

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Chubb is a one cut runner with an elite burst of speed and runs through arm tackles, this is why he beats so many people one on one. I wouldn't call it elusive but we are splitting hairs on terms.

What is really crazy is I watched the Chubb run and the OBJ run over and over to compare the 2, and Chubb seemed to have the better break away speed. I know his combine 40 doesn't count because he wasn't 100% healed from the knee and maybe OBJ's hip injury is cutting his speed, but holy crap does our boy Chubb have a burst.

Chubb is one of the league leaders in missed tackles since he entered the league.

I really wish Kitchens would have given Chubb that 4th touchdown instead of Hilliard.

Dude was the workhorse all game and the biggest reason we just took the lead in the AFCN. I’d have liked to see him rewarded with a 4 touchdown game

For no other reason that Chubb is on my fantasy team and i am in a dog fight this week, lol.

Honestly, Hilliard was the right choice, spread the wealth some, and that was Hilliard's drive to be featured.

While the 88 yard TD was pretty impressive, the 14 yarder where he broke 3 tackles was a thing of beauty. He just shed those tacklers like he was going over speedbumps.

Not to be that guy, but it was 4 tackles, the announcer didn't count one because Chubb's cut made him miss without even touching Chubb, but it still counts, he was in position to make the tackle......for a half second.

And I agree, that was a really fucking awesome run too.

Yes, its because he has an incredible one cut, strong plant food, great burst of speed, and breaks arm tackles at ease. Breaking an arm tackled is a missed tackle.

We have 3 years of Chubb at good value if we want (2 more year on rookie deal, plus we can put a high tender to keep him for 1 more). After 3 years, he might not be the same back. And given what our cap could be then, he might not be worth extending.

I know that sounds like blasphemy with how well he ran yesterday, but things change quickly for NFL Rbs

Play at 1:34 is what I was describing in my previous post about elusiveness. Just crazy, crazy gifts.

In that play.......

1. We don't secure the kick-out / edge.....this play should be dead.
2. Chubb hops over the guy who nearly blows up the play for a loss.
3. After hopping, he takes 2 strides to get back to full speed.
4. He leans inside to set up the cut off of Landry's block.
5. He slides off of the big shot Thomas tries to lay on him and falls forward for 3-4 more yards.

Just the amount skill in this ho-hum 17-18 yard gain is pretty fun. He makes it look so effortless.

It's the play at the 0:24 mark that makes me happy. In how many other years does the chasing D-lineman catch whatever RB we'd have catching that screen pass? Every single one until Chubb showed up?

He's like a more shy Wilt Chamberlain.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Browns running back Nick Chubb refused to be tackled on Sunday, and now he’s been recognized for his efforts.
Chubb has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his 165-yard, three touchdown effort in the 40-25 rout of the Ravens.
The three rushing TDs were a career-high, and his 88-yard score was the third longest in Browns history. It was also the longest rushing touchdown in the NFL this season.
