Round 3 - Pick 98 - Siaki Ika, DT, Baylor

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Didn't even think he'd be available when the Browns had their original pick. Getting him at 98 is about right.

These are the worst scouting reports I’ve ever seen on a player!

Siaki Ika? He’s a lazy ass fat fuck bastard who likes telling jokes and eating waffle house. Football skills? That big fat idiot was on the football team?!

Here is the thing about this pick, the knock is “Aka is a two down player who is unmovable against the run but won’t generate much of a pass rush”

You wouldn’t want to take a player like this in round 1 or 2 (looking at you two down Danny), but a monster run defender on obvious run downs is exactly, and I mean exactly, what this defense needs.

He is a good pick for what we need and at the end of the third I am happy with the pick.

Adding two WR and a DT with our 2nd and 3rd going into the draft season are win now moves.

I would like some LB and OL depth today. But I feel like the glaring weakness positions have been addressed.

Ika was the #88 overall prospect in this draft ranked by PFF:

Ika is your 358-pounder who can still somehow make centers and guards miss one on one. He tallied a career-high 33 pressures in 2021 before seeing his play become a little more inconsistent this past fall.

Call me soft, but I genuinely love those phone calls between the Browns and the draftees. Seeing that moment where their dreams come true is awesome.
One of my favorite parts of the draft.

The thing that stands out most is the guy has more lateral agility and pass rush ability than he gets credit for... He's more than just a linear, run-stuffing big guy... That will be his main role but there's more nimbleness, and quickness than most might realize..

I'd like to see him and Tomlinson on the field for the first two-downs, and go from there..

those 1st 2 plays shows his power. pushing a guy basically with one hand into the backfield. impressive

You're soft.

But so am I, because I feel the exact same way. :chuckle:
