Thats what I thought.....

If there was a question as who should be the starting back-- there shouldn't be anymore..

An 80 yard drive, nothing but down your throat running..How it should be, He even made a nice catch in the backfield, something willie is terrible at...

this was something butter fingers and happy feet Green was unable to accomplish in his oppurtunity...

CASE CLOSED

Ill take a note from d3..

rofl..

Second team defense of a Chicago Bears team which is already one of the worst in the NFL.

Give me a break, he had one really good run and a nice TD leap. He didnt do anything outside of that.

Green didnt do very well himself, but they gave him no good running oppurtunities.

And what kills me is people complain about Green having "happy feet" when he has done nothing but go north and south with maybe an exception of one or two carries a game. Green had nothing to work with, Ruben wouldnt have got yards on those plays. Hell, Tomlinson wouldnt have.

This game did nothing to seperate the two. So it comes down to what is happening in practice because neither was impressive.

All three RBs have played well below par IMO, we have a bad OL yes, but still...our RBs arent doing anything.

Bears took out Tommie Harris and Adewale Ogunleye in that last series before halftime.. Rube played against the same unit #31 did.. Nice try though, the bears did take out their offensive starters though, so maybe you were mistaken by that.

Btw, from somebody who watched Tomlinson so many times, the chargers before last season had some of the worst O-Lines in the nfl.. Yet he made things happen-- cause he's talented.. William blows dude, he's not that talented..

Backs hit the holes and explode, if nothing is there, they will make something happen with another small hole.. William doesn't find the hole.. He problably couldn't find the hole in his own ass..

I think it's time for you to throw up your white flag on this one MAC...

If you come away impressed by either back, that is pathetic.

Maybe you like settling for second fiddle, but that is your choice.

I thought WG was a better back than what he has shown, he hasnt performed. Bottom line.

But take your blinders off, Rube is not going good by any means of the imagination either. Same for Suggs.

Good Enough for me....

My stance the whole entire time was who was best on our team...

I am well aware all 3 are not true ProBowl caliber backs and I don't think Rube is one of the best backs in the nfl.. But I strongly believe he is the best back on the cleveland browns.. For the most part, he has proved between his running and catching ability that he is the best of the 3.

I would love to see Suggs healthy for 1 season just to see what he is truly capable of..
William has physical abilities, he doesn't seem to have the mental ability... SAD...

He hasnt proved much, his stats are not much better than Green's.

I dont know if it is the system, the OL or just the RBs. But something is very wrong with our running game.

can pass block, but can't run block

Im not going to get in the Will Green debate but the Bears have a very very good defense. Urlacher top 3 lb in the league. Mike Brown top 5 FS in the game. Nathan Vasher had like 7 or more picks last year. Tommie Harris 2nd year dt from oklahoma he is solid. and not to mention Adewale Ogunleye one of the best ends in the game so no their defense is not bad by any means.

suggs is a pro-boweler if he stays health, but he cant. get that guy to stay healthy and we will see the explosion we lack.

I think Droughns is the best option. Lee i think has the most natural ability of the three, but he probably won't be ready to start the season. Neither Drougns nor Green performed well, but Droughns has that smash mouth football feel to him that I think will appeal more to crennell then Greens jack of all trades master of none game. Smith and Droughns should wear down a defense physically if they get any sort of blocking up front.

I don't expect the browns to try and win this year, so I'd expect who they want to trade the most will be the guy they get the most carries.

Outside of Urlacher, the Bears defense is bad. Brown is a good S, but the O guy is nothing more than a complimentary DE, he shined because he played next to a great DE in Miami in Taylor.

But that is a bad defense.

Sugg is far from a pro bowler, he has done nothing that would reflect a pro bowler is his time starting.

All three are solid backs, but thats about it.

also, somebody on Dawg Talk said ESPNLive had Crennel saying Green was starting week 1, anybody see this?

if i could find the stink'n remote control maybe i can turn the t.v. on :heated:

suggs has shown that he can make people miss and he has the speed. but he rarely ever shows that, since he is allways hurt.
