There are a lot more people to share the spotlight with in Utah than in Cleveland and he seems fine.I remember the Cavaliers had interest in Gobert before that draft but his interview went very poorly. He is used to being the focal point of a team and doesn't react we'll to sharing the spotlight.
Yeah it might make sense.
Isn't this the only reasonable trade we could make with Drummond? Surely Quinn Snyder could figure out how to use him and they could run a lot of the same stuff.
What else does it take? A first round pick?
Utah fans would be furious, but i don't think it is that bad a trade.

I don't see any way we could acquire him though without unloading a big chunk our draft capital, and even then I doubt Utah would accept.
I don't think that's anywhere close to his value.
I think their issues have been way overblown.Well, he isn't fine in Utah. His teammates don't like him, and he has problems with Mitchell because of spotlight issues specifically and they had a major dust up because he was fooling around and infected Mitchell.
As to his value, I am not sure what it is? Yes he is DPOY, but there isn't really a contender that wants him. Maybe Boston, but would they empty the warchest for him? I guarantee they wouldn't give up Brown. Maybe they would give up Hayward? As valuable as he is, he is not worth much, and few teams need a center.
There has been a major re-alignment as to what centers are worth the past couple of years.

I also think he's as valuable as Paul George.
I feel like this makes some sense for both teams. My favorite part is it gives us a legitimate reason to move Garland to the bench, but on a short-term basis. Then we get another huge expiring in a couple years with Conley's contract.
I don’t see why Utah would do that at all. Seems bad all around for them.

He's really fucking goodI'm more curious why folks *want* Rudy Gobert...
