If you read on ESPN.com it says weisbrod, the orlando magic gm has resigned. There is speculation now that is not 'official' yet, but it appears Flip Saunders will be gm, and head coach of the magic. Apparently flip wants full control of the organization, and they are willing to give it to him, as weisbrod has resigned.

Well, looks like we're down to musselman. Figures... We'll probably sit on our hands some more until we're left with someone.

So we scratch another off the list. It seems Musselman is the only one left on the possibles list that I will be happy with. Cant afford to wait for Nate and June 30. Lets get the young combo of Morway and Musselman in action.

Well that really sucks...

Orlando does seem to be more of an appealing place to live. Their team isn't half bad neither. DHow/Francis duo will be a good one for a few years.

I still don't like the fact that the coach job is Gilbert's first decision. Just like everyone else has said, get the GM first and butt out.

I believe that he couldn't get a GM until Indiana was eliminated from the playoffs when they could get to Morway. Hopefully Morway can bring Musselman in... if not, hello Maurice Cheeks.

Chad Ford is reporting on ESPN.com that Orlando will name Brian Hill as their new coach. He's a former Magic coach who's currently an assistant with the Nets. It looks like Flip is still in the mix in Cleveland.

This is very good news for the Cavs since it's one less opening for Saunders and Musselman. These two should be the top candidates for the Cavs job.

It is also very good news that Mo Cheeks will reportedly take over with the 76ers. I didn't like the idea of Cheeks becoming a top candidate for the Cavs job.

Hopefully Chad Ford is right, but it is Chad Ford...

Hey Chad Ford is a better source than Peter Vescey

Well the coaching decision is going to come soon. Other teams are starting to make their choices, yet we are still sitting on our hands. Who is Gilbert really eyeing here? :dunno:

Gotta get Morway in here this week... numerous sources have said he is the guy... they need to get it done and moved on with...

Looks like if Larry Brown becomes our President, Flip Saunders may become the Pistons' new coach.

As the Daily News reported on April 4, the Pistons first made back-channel contacts with Saunders in late March. He has turned down Portland's coaching position and had also been involved with the Magic about their vacancy before Orlando hired Brian Hill. Sources say Saunders has held off on taking a job because of Brown's expected departure, and that Saunders would welcome the chance to take over a veteran team that is currently working on its second straight championship.

If we can't get Phil Jackson then I really, really hope we can get Flip Saunders in here as our Coach!

He knows how to coach a superstar and got Cassel, Spreewell, Wally, Hudson, and Garnett to play together which is why they came very close to ousting the Lakers last year.

I believe Saunders and Gilbert didn't get on well from the start. Both guys wanted different things hense the lack of progress. I am not overly upset by this.

There were stories that Saunders wasn't comfortable with Gilbert and had doubts about him. That goes to Gilbert's current reputation around the NBA as a meddler, a reputation he needs to try to put an end to--especially by not meddling.

There are also reports that Flip is in line to take the Pistons coaching job after L. Brown leaves.

Flip was and still is my top choice for Cavs coach. Oh well.
