Self Driving cars

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If the AI had the choice of killing you or killing a pedestrian in the event of an emergency situation... Which one does it pick?

it doesn't pick, how would it kill you the driver? its designed to avoid accidents, if it hits someone its because they didn't see them in time to stop.

Blue screen of death.

Networks crash all the time. 5G is not going to be installed on every road. Weather will hamper AI. Coders are not perfect.

I'm not worried about it though. It will be impossible to outlaw human drivers because nobody's telling Bubba in South Alabama that he can't drive his F150 truck.

Driver assistance is popular and I'm glad I have it. Driverless cars - no.
All it's going to take is car insurance companies to raise rates to crazy amounts on non self driving cars

Without getting into politics, in a positive note, the evolution of self-driving cars may be an excuse for the government to finally do something about fixing the infrastructure in this country.

Positively delusional IMHO.

Robert Moses is DEAD. Nimby's have been replaced by bananas (build absolutely nothing anywhere near anybody). Politicians are too busy acting like six year olds to do anything useful and boring like infrastructure.

NYC area - FOUR train tunnels were built under the Hudson between 1900 and 1910. Since then, zero. No bridges, highways, etc even proposed despite massive increases in usage.

Millenials want to be in cities or inner ring burbs with good mass transit - yay for that I say. Actually building anything though - nobody's interested.
