Small Forward Safari (2022-23 edition)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Not having a SF could prove to be an issue down the road, as evidenced by the Bucks game. One guy that could fill that void: Jarred Vanderbilt.

I'd imagine he'd be attainable. We have our 2024 pick swap which could be enticing in a trade.

If Markkanen can play the 3, why not Vanderbilt? And Vanderbilt is more athletic & a better defender.

What about Okoro straight up for Vanderbilt? Utah may see Okoro as a reclamation project.

I love Vanderbilt. Dude shouldve been all d first team last year but there is no way we have enough assets to get him

The Cavaliers don't have a draft pick to trade.

I'm fairly certain you can't trade a pick swap.

Oubre is garbage. Don't let him trick you into thinking the way he plays against the Cavs is the way he plays any other team. Him and Rozier always put up big numbers against Cleveland.

Vanderbilt doesn't shoot 3s. That's partially why Tower City worked with Lauri.

I think it's Alec Burks or bust at this point and we'd likely have to include Okoro to get him. Maybe we can land Harrison Barnes if the Kings continue to play below the play in level.

??? Kings are in the 7th spot and on a 5 game win streak. They’ve been playing great basketball lately. If they keep playing like this I expect them to use Barnes and other pieces to add a long-term upgrade at PF.

I’d personally drive Okoro to Detroit if we could get Burks for him.

Bogdanovic can be traded this year. Not sure if we have what it takes to get him but I think Detroit will move before the deadline despite the extension.

An interesting one to maybe file away--With nobody knowing how Irving will end up in Brooklyn, would they be interested in a LeVert reunion?

LeVert + Cedi for O'Neale and Joe Harris works financially...

Cavs lose a bit in shot creation but get the two-way wing they need and add some high-end shooting off the bench...

Eh, this feels like a deck chairs move. Harris is rarely healthy and his defense is too bad to start. I'd have to take second look at O'Neale's 3 point% before even considering it.

Covington is getting DNP'd by the Clippers. They'd also really like move Powell who they just overpaid and is having a rough start.

If we could get an asset from the Knicks, I'd take Evan Fournier off their hands for the second team...

Burks is a forward? I remember him with the Cavs. I thought he was a guard ala LeVert.

Burks and LeVert are somewhat reductive. Both are SG, sometimes SFs with similar games. Burks shoots better, LeVert better on D/playmaking
