So long, David Griffin

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Gilbert made Ty Lue the highest paid assistant coach in league history. I don't think it was the money Griff wanted that gave Gilbert 2nd thoughts. It was the power he wanted. I'm GUESSING that he wanted final say over the roster and there is no way Gilbert was going to give that up.

I still believe if Kyrie & Love weren't injured in 2015 the warriors would stay ringless to this day. KD will stay in OKC. Blatt would still coach the team and Delly would still bless us with his presence. Now we have a weak coach and a rookie gm pulling the strings during a time when experience is needed.

not sure I follow, KD is leaving to GSW either way, its not like when they lost to the cavs in 7 games they weren't stacked and knocked KD out that year plus he doesn't even like westbrook

All those guys are objectively overpaid for what they actually do.

Late to party but...

I'd like to thank Griff for all he did here to bring a championship to us. That's the bottom line so I'm not going to bitch about trading Wiggins or Zeller or draft picks to accomplish that. We won, I'm still glad almost beyond words even with the loss this year, and as far as I concerned every move Griff made was necessary to accomplish that ultimate goal. Thank you David and I wish you the best in the future...

Ludwig von Mises?

Yep.

The subjective theory of value is a theory of value which advances the idea that the value of a good is not determined by any inherent property of the good, nor by the amount of labor necessary to produce the good, but instead value is determined by the importance an acting individual places on a good for the achievement of his desired ends.

That sounds good.

So, if Phil Jackson gets fired today..............

So, if Phil Jackson gets fired today..............

Everybody wins.

Melo wins because his plan all along was to outlast Phil (see multiple reports saying as much)

Phil wins because taking the job was a cash grab in the first place and he wanted out as soon as the first check was cut (see his behavior + reports) and he can go back to LA.

But we don't....the hope was that we would get Melo after Phil got so fed up that he would finally trade him for scraps or just buy him out.

Now, the new GM, unless directed by Dolan to gut the team, will want to retain Melo and build a "winner" with him.

Phil was the main proponent of buying out Melo; Mills and Dolan are insistent upon a trade.

It's going to be bizarre if Griffin takes over the Knicks and the Cavs have to negotiate with him to get Melo, who is probably the one player the Cavs could actually acquire that could help them.

What if Griff was working as a double agent to get us Melo?
