That's what he was asking.

baseball-reference and Fangraphs utilize different formulas for WAR, thus bWAR and fWAR. If you're using baseball-reference, then you are utilizing bWAR for this exercise.

I figured as much and I usually use baseball reference so let's use baseball reference!

Use whatever you want, obviously, but fWAR is the more commonly used metric.

bWAR is more useful for pitchers though, in my opinion.

I just figured use the numbers on baseball reference since that just makes things simple lol

I don't know that using one over the other is any simpler, I'm just trying to help inform.

As I said, use whatever you want. You're the one going through the trouble of organizing this!
