So I almost went to the spring game, ended up recording it, and I'm just starting to watch it now.

So what looked good, what didn't, anybody reall stand out? Give me your thoughts on the game because I won't be able to stay awake for this.

I'm wondering how Miller looked and what if anything we could see from Urban's system.

Shocked there isn't already a thread on this, and forgive me if there is

I was at work, I'd like to hear some thoughts too.

A ton of spread offense.

Shazier on defense looked extremely good. Braxton was very solid, thought he threw 2 picks i believe. I was impressed with Kenny Guiton, the backup, he seemed to show a little progress. Also Philly Brown emerged as the go to receiver.

It's hard to look to much into it because Urban blew the whistle every time Braxton started scrambling. Plus it's only a Spring Game.

Michael Thomas looked like the only receiver we have.
the play that beat Wisconsin is still in our playbook...And it was another successful lame duck pass.

offensive line looked kinda crappy the whole second half.

no RBs really stood out, but Hyde & Smith should be effective in the offense.

If Miller misses time, Kenny G will be able to play...But the offense will stall a lot.

Shazier is a STUD

we need WRs.

Mike Thomas looked pretty darn good.

Braxton didn't look great, but he was much better than Kenny G.

The Running backs were not featured in the offense during the spring game Hyde had 4 carries. Meyer said he wanted to throw 3 passes for every run in the spring game since they already know what they have in the running game. In limited carries Dunn looked very good for a true freshman. I agree with all the other posters Thomas looked good. Lots of short routes but he caught everything thrown his way. Shazier was in beast mode before and during the spring game. The future looks bright

True Freshman Michael Thomas had 12 catches for 131 yards... so he looked really good...Could be 3rd WR come fall... Brionte Dunn looked good too... We lack depth at CB... Braxton showed us that he can make all the throws.. But his decision making was at times bad... He thew into double-triple coverage a couple times, the D was only able to pick off one of those... We lack a major playmaker on offense.. I want to see how Jordan Hall will do in this new offense.. We are stacked at DE and RB... exited to see this team play in the fall!

edit: Would not be surprised if Shazier made the B1G all 1st team.. he looks like he is going to be an absolute BEAST. Our D will be very good. On offense I think we will kill on the ground.. Air? yet to be seen... Also looks like Guiton has improved ALOT. We have a pretty good backup just incase Brax goes down...

Has Najee Murray gotten some time in the spring game?

I keep seeing people say the passing looked bad but ... they threw like 55 passes and completed what 40+ of them for about 500 yards? Couldn't have been awful. It's just a spring game and there's more to it than numbers I know, but I'd like to hear more.

Not sure how many of those yards were Miller's passing either, like 250 or something? Glanced at a newspaper at work today.

A spring game environment doesn't do Braxton justice, anyway. The defense doesn't have to worry about his greatest strength (running ability) like every defense he faces in the regular season will have to fear.

Guiton vs Miller at the end.

The circle drill in front of the fans was genius. Love the old intensity that Meyer's bringing back.
Guiton fucked Miller up. Dudes gotta spark.

The o-line looks terrible

Thomas was a nice surprise. Still lacking some WRs

Braxton was a little sloppy, but keep in mind a couple things. We will never throw 40 passes in a game, ever. And he also wasn't really allowed to run because the QB's couldn't be hit. Braxton is at his best when he can move around in the backfield.

Overall I'd say fairly promising. Not a whole lot you can take from it though.
