I guess there isn't a Star Trek thread or whatever.

I have watched a couple season of Star Trek: Diversity... er, Discovery, and Picard.

And in the trailer of Picard Season 2 we have the return of Q!

What are people's thoughts on Kurtzman's Trek?

I managed to get through Voyager and Enterprise but gagged on Discovery Season One (near the end on the Captain reveal) and haven't made any further.

Deep Space Nine was peak Trek. A show ahead of its time. A really fine ensemble cast and great writing for the most part.

My son and his fiance on the other hand couldn't get through TOS. The main complaint seemed to be the short hemlines. Those skirts were shorter than Isaiah Thomas.

Growing up I watched a bunch of the original series with my dad. I remember being scared shitless and feeling my heart pounding in my chest watching Kirk and Spock fight each other with axes on Vulcan. Kind of funny now to go back and watch that scene!

I've never seen anything outside TOS (aside from the JJ movies). Is Next Generation worth watching?

I'm a big trek fan. Not hugely keen on Picard but loved disco (apart from the last terran bit) it will be interesting to see where it goes. Also lower decks is brilliant

Next Gen is absolutely worth a watch. Many serious Trekkies consider it superior to the original series.

Lower Decks is the only current ST that fits in proper Trek lore.

Disco is trash that's ignored established lore multiple times. Picard is just terrible in general.

Maybe the new Janeway Prodigy series aimed at kids will be okay.

I just want the rumors of Avery Brooks returning to acting to bring Sisko back to life are true.

I watched TOS (Grew up watching that), Next Generation, and all of the movies. I haven't really watched the other series.

I watched every TOS, and idolized Spock.. The show and acting was cheezy, and women were definitely objectivized.. But it shaped me..

Got to fly once with Captain Kirk.. He was doing Priceline commercials and was the last guy on a southwest flight out of burbank.. passengers went wild, and he handled it perfectly.. Very nice guy..

You must watch DS9.

The rest you can skip.
C'mon, Stannis! There's something watch-worthy about every ST series from TOS through Enterprise. After that, you can definitely skip.

I am a Trekkie in that I go to all of the conventions dressed as Spock, but I’ve never seen the show.

To be clear, I meant he can skip everything after DS9.

Or limit himself to about 20 episodes of Voyager.

...I think Voyager is my favorite....

*ducks*
